Madam Ama Benyiwa-Doe, caretaker Central Regional Minister, on Tuesday inaugurated a new Community Health Planning Service (CHPS) compound, at Winneba Zongo.
The facility that was constructed by Central Regional Development Commission at about 80,000.00 Ghana Cedis was handed over to the Ministry of Health.
Madam Benyiwa-Doe urged health workers to discharge their duties professionally and said government was committed to bringing health care to the door step of the people.
Dr Luiz Ghoungo-Ammussu, Effutu Municipal Director of Ghana Health Service, commended the financiers of the project, and appealed to the people to visit the place for quality health delivery.
Nii Ephraim Effutu, Municipal Chief Executive, said that contract for the construction of two more CHIPs and Information Communication Technology Centre, had been awarded.
He appealed to the people to promote hygiene to avoid contracting diseases.
Nii Effutu appealed to the people to cooperate with health personnel posted to the facility to ensure effective health delivery.
Alhaji Sulemana Salagah, Chief of the Zongo Community, expressed his appreciation to the Madam Benyina-Doe, Commission and Effutu Municipal Assembly for working as a team to build the facility.
