Deputy ranking member of the Mines and Energy Committee in Parliament, Robert Masore has described as "unwarranted", the recent review of petroleum prices by the National Petroleum Authority.
In an interview with Citi News, Hon. Masore noted that the challenges being faced in the power sector and those being faced in the economy, made the review an unfair move.
We think that this is unwarranted in the light of the fact that already we have problems with power supply. As at now a number of people are complementing the shortfall in power supply so the increase is going to affect them.
According to the MP it appears Ghanaians are being taken for granted because "we all know that price of crude is falling on the market.
The NPAs review of prices of petroleum products took effect from 1st of June, pegging a gallon of petrol and Diesel at GH9. 50 per whereas LPG will also go for GH25.
