The Election Petition is said to be a major challenge that has affected President Mahama's one year administration.
Speaking on Radio Ghana's Current Affairs Programme, "FOCUS", which assessed the President's first year in office, the Africa Regional Coordinator of the Revenue Watch Institute, Emmanuel Kuyole stressed that though some Ghanaians would argue that the election petition should not be an excuse, it should not be wished away if an honest assessment is to be made.
On corruption, Mr Kuyole advised Political parties to de-politicise issues of corruption in order to fight the menace.
Contributing to the programme on phone, the Editor of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper, Ben Ephson noted that the election petition posed a challenge to the Mahama led government.
He however advised the government to construct and repair more roads particularly those leading to farming communities to improve on the economy.
He also asked government to make corruption unattractive.
