The New Patriotic Party [NPP] nationwide “Wↄn Gbo” demonstrations train has hit the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi as hundreds of demonstrators are set to move around some principal streets of the garden city.
The Kumasi version of the ‘Wↄn Gbo’ demo is dubbed “Yabrԑ Demo” to wit “We are tired”.
The demonstration is aimed at mounting pressure on the NDC Mahama-led administration for their failure to resolve Ghana’s frustrating power crisis as well as the ailing economy which has left the citizenry in real hardship.
NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo who was very active during the “Wↄn Gbo” demonstration in Accra last week will be leading the “Yabrԑ Demo” with other leading members of the elephant fraternity.
Members of the party have vowed to protest until government fulfills its promises and find solutions to the deteriorating power crisis.
According Hello FM reporter Sampson Nyamekye, several market women and city residents were seen gathered at Adum, heart of Kumasi in the earlier hours of today to commence the demonstration.
Majority of the protestors are clad in red and black attire with the oldies in their usual funeral clothes with funny yet provocative placards.
