National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammy Awuku has made demands on President John Dramani Mahama to dismiss Attorney General Justice Marietta Brew-Oppong from post for failing to bring her competence into being in the Woyome judgment debt scandal trail.
Speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show "Kokrokoo", Sammy Awuku, who supported the call by Alfred Agbesi Woyome for the AG to resign, further called on the president to sack her from office.
Sammy Awuku held strongly that the AG "feigned incompetence" in ensuring that Mr. Woyome is found not guilty of the charges which were brought against him at the law court.
“I support the position that the AG and her deputy should not only resign; they should be sacked for even feigning incompetence,” he said.
He also believed that Mr Woyome's acquittal appeared to be certain even from the day he was charged because the Mahama-led government was only toying with the prosecution case. In his view, they were never prepared to bring him (Woyome) to justice.
He also bemoaned the AG's inability to retrieve other judgment debts that the court had ruled that the monies be retrieved from the parties.
To him, the Woyome case "from day 1, the government prepared a grand stage to free Woyome. It is a State-managed choreography they’re performing. It’s a serious movie that they are acting."
