Ghana’s former High Commissioner to Malaysia, Dan Abodakpi did not mince words when he described persons he believed to have doctored a video of the president allegedly sharing money as being of sick mind.
He could not fathom why someone would film President Mahama distributing “leaflets”, and alter same video to portray the president as sharing money on a campaign tour. “There can be no iota of truth in such claims,” Mr. Abodakpi told 3FM on Thursday. He contended that it was needless for President Mahama to use money to induce voters to win the forthcoming general elections.
Confident Abodakpi said the achievements of the president over the four-year period are “self evidence” to secure him victory in the December 7 polls. “Such allegation can only be made by desperate souls who are trying to hold on to straws to paint the president black,” he insisted. Indicating the impossibility of President Mahama to bribe millions of voters with money, the former High Commissioner said the allegation is a story that “can be told to the marines, there is absolutely no truth”.
He would not buy into the argument that the video that has gone viral on social media looks real and genuine. “We are in the age of IT, and people can fabricate all kinds of things and put them out there…I would not be surprised that some sick minds will go out of their way in desperation to put something like this out…I think we should treat this with the contempt that it deserves,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, a member of the pressure group, Occupy Ghana, Nana Sarpong Agyemang has rejected claims that what the president distributed were leaflets. He believes the president was sharing money and wants him investigated.

To the f001 writing under the name Akuffo. If the NPP shared anything they paid for it with their own money. NPP is not in government and therefore does not have access to public funds .The ndc on the other hand is in power and controls the public purse. Do you think the money Mahama was sharing was something he earned through hard work? Get a brain if you don;t have one .It's because of simpletons like you that Ghana suffers.
It is only ex-convict like that old man ***barred word*** Abodakpi that will reason like that. It is shameful to say the least for the president to be sharing money on the street of Accra during political campaign. If Ghana,s economy is good as president Mahama want us to be believe, then there would not be the need to share money for votes.
WAS THE PRESIDENT SHARING MONEY? IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT? WHAT IS OCCUPY GHANA ALSO SAYING? USE THE ANSWERS HERE TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS. DID THE NPP SHARE KOKO AND WAAKYE TO THE PEOPLE OF NIMA AND MADINA RESPECTIVELY? IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT? WHY WAS OCCUPY GHANA QUIET?
They NDC people are ashamed of the fact that is why they are giving it different intepretations. In anyway i blame Ghanaians. We just have to put partisan politics asside and think Ghana first. Those in power are our employees not employers. That is why they travel length and breadth of the country to seek our vote. We shouldn't be cheering them but grilling them as to what they have achieved and why we should renew their mandate and those who are seeking too what they will do to better us. If we keep cheering them, ede be keke then they will keep spending the money nyafunyafu.
Dan Agbodakpi is an ex-convict who went to jail for the following crimes 1. Conniving with Dr. Boadu in Texas to steal Ghana's USD500,000. 2. Stealing another money for the establishment of Ghana's ICT Park in Tema without doing any work. As part of the Keta Sea Defense Pproject completed by the Kufuor administration, several houses were constructed for the inhabitants of th Keta area to replace the houses that were washed away by the rampaging sea. Dan Agbodakpi was able to convince the illiterates in that locality that the houses were constructed by Pres Kufuor and so anyone who occupied any of the houses would be classified as NPP supporter. Being so naive and ***barred word***, many of the people allowed most of the houses to lie fallow for a very long time. This is the man who now has the guts to call some people names when it is clear in the video that thee president was sharing money to people around. Such a person is now an ambassador for the country. The day of reckoning is coming for Ghanaians to determine whether they would allow people like these would be allowed to continue holding themselves as being part of Ghana's governing elite or not.
hhahahahahahahaaaa... sick minds paaaa..... interesting. this statement even tells us something... change is coming.Nana Addo has campaigned for years and you can see maturity at work.
2016 Campaign Coordinator of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams claims there is nothing wrong if indeed President John Dramani Mahama gave out monies to some traders during his campaign tour.
I'm not surprise for this statement coming from Abodapi a known convicted ***barred word***. Only in Ghana can a convicted ***barred word*** made a high commissioner. Why won't he defend Mahamah? Birds of the same feathers flock together. A ***barred word*** would always defend another ***barred word*** 99% of the time.
Ei distributed leaflets at Abossey Okai? What kind of leaflets? What is in the leaflet? Please please we are not blind. In any case Dan were u there? Were u part of the delegation?
