The Member of Parliament for Nsawam Aduagyir, Annor Dompreh is calling for the arrest of persons believed to be members of the New Patriotic Party who are trying to use illegal means to take over government establishments.
The NPP MP maintained that the president was elected by and for the people of Ghana, which means he is not the president for a selected few. Annor Dompreh speaking on Onua FM morning show, Yen Nsempa, urged the leadership of the New Patriotic Party to talk to the youth of the party to desist from the act.
Annor Dompreh speaking on Onua FM morning show, Yen Nsempa, urged the leadership of the New Patriotic Party to talk to the youth of the party to desist from the act. According to him, government business is by appointment and not by force seizure of state institutions.
“If they needed jobs, it has to be applied for,” he asserted.
Since President Akufo-Addo assumed office, there have been several reports of some identified and unidentified members of the NPP establishing their intention to take over state institutions.
Some went to the Passport Office in Tema, some tollbooths in the country as well as NHIS offices. There is currently power struggle between the executives and youth of Asuogyaman as to who takes charge of the Adome Bridge.
Mr. Annor Dompreh however suspects the attacks may be perpetuated by persons who are not members of the NPP, trying to paint a bad image for the party. He therefore charged the security agencies to investigate and bring the perpetrators to book.

i believe you have never lived in Ghana. In ghana we know our kind, those who are NDC we know them and we know those who are NPP...no one can fake these things, better take responsibility and stop shifting everything to NDC, it will soon catch up with you
Where is the Police? ***barred word*** institution. Where is BNI? Bogus body. IGP wake up from your slumber and act. It is your constitutional duty to keep the peace. What is this ***barred word*** silence? People are misbehaving and you watch on. Expecting the president to call people to order? Is that what is expected? wherein lies your duty as a police force? Whack Institution
I agree. If those causing mayhem are not arrested even the NDC guys will take NPP T shirts and cause trouble. We are all GHANAIANS and if anyone causes trouble must be swiftly dealt with. After the elections when NPP supporters were being accused of attacking NDC functionaries I listened to a program where a police officer interviewed said they were called to one such lady house to quell an attack only to find the lady an MCE or so doing her nails. Once the arrests start truth will prevail and all the ***barred word*** will cease. Police should arise
