Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hannah Tetteh has cast a sneer at the government for its refusal to allow Former President Mahama keep his old residence as part of his 'retirement package'.

Government has refused a request sent by the Former Chief of Staff of the Former President, Julius Debrah for Former President Mahama to keep his residence as President.

The residence, bungalow No.3, situated at Prestige Link, Cantonments in Accra, has been designated as official accommodation for the country’s Vice-Presidents but was still inhabited by the former President becoming President of Ghana.

This has rendered Vice President Dr Bawumia 'homeless' and has been compelled to lodge at 'Australia house'.

In a tweet via her personal Twitter handle, Hannah Tetteh described Australia House, the official residence of former Vice President Amissah Arthur as bigger than where former President Mahama currently resides and shared images of the place as prove.

"Australia House, official residence of former V. President which is bigger than where former President Mahama currently resides" she tweeted.

Currently, Former President Mahama is entitled to 40 percent of his monthly salary as an allowance for his accommodation and staff which includes a steward, cook and gardener.

Please it's not the size of the property but the rational and mind set of the ex president of keeping the said property. If Ackaah and Aliu Mahamah had taken the said property would the ex president had a place to sleep. He should pack his things and move out to his Dzowulu resident.

Oh ndc, you have now found a piece of land for president kuffour, why can't mahama find a place to stay and wait for 8 yrs for his plot? What is good for the goose is equally good for the gander

Whether bigger or better, we the citizens of Ghana, want our property back. He should go and stay in his own house. This ***barred word*** of providing for Article 71 holders should be scrapped outright. What about the public/civil servant who has worked for 37 plus years, what does that citizen go away with? Someone tell me please. Looters!!!

And where are the pics of where John Mahama is arrogatin to himself right now? If you want us to compare, Ms Tetteh, post all the pics! Although your argument is irrelevant anyway. No one is talking about size.

whether its big or small. tell your boss to vacate the residence. Now you understand the saying that " what is good for the goose is also good for the gender". Tell your boss to go and do that same things he is looking for to Jerry Rawlings and John Kuffour. when he has finished Ghana will do the same to him. there is a saying also that " the people you see when walking on the stairs upwards are the same people you see when descending. the Bible says and JESUS CHRIST said it " that do unto others as you want others to do unto you" God bless Ghana

THIS MAYOPIC WAY OF THINKING OFTEN IRRITATES ME. HANNAH TETTEH, GET THIS STRAIGHT, IT NO ABOUT HOW BIG THE HOUSE IS, SMALL, SOPHISTICATED OR HOW PLUSH IT COMES. IT ABOUT IT BEING A STATE PROPERTY AND THE LAST TIME I CHECKED, STATE PROPERTIES ARE FOR GENERATIONAL USE. WHERE FROM ALL THIS GREED? IS THAT WHY HE REFUSED TO MOVE TO THE OFFICIAL RESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENCY DURING HIS TENURE IN OFFICE? DIABOLIC AGENDA. WHAT IF ALL EXITING PRESIDENT DECIDE TO KEEP THEIR RESIDENCE AS RETIREMENT PACKAGE, WHAT WOULD BE LET FOR THE NEXT GENERATION. AFTER ALL THE MONIES YOU STOLE, YOU COULD BUILD OR BUY A HOUSE FOR YOURSELF. YOU MUST BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. ***barred word***.

Hannah Tetteh does not get it. This clearly explains why NDC messed up Ghana during the 8 years rule. It is not a question of total space but the law and principle. Is John Mahama telling the good people of Ghana and the whole world that he does not own a single house in the country where he can live with his family? This is big lie. He MUST leave the house now. It is a state property and it cannot be given to him. A word to this Hanna Tetteh. Stop your arrogancy and learn to abide by rules and regulations.
