John Boadu has lauded the National Women’s Organizer of the NPP for her dazzling performing during her vetting meeting with the Appointment Committee of parliament.
To him, Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba’s performance was exceptional as she exhibited bravery when questioned by some committee members.
“I was impressed by her performance. We must stand for something. The vetting procedure is not a time to retract some comments made previously just because you want a post. Otiko was brave enough to maintain her comment” he told Kwesi Aboagye on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie
Gender Minister-designate Otiko Afisa Djaba who faced the vetting committee yesterday was in the news after she had rejected attempts by some NDC members on the committee to apologize to former President John Dramni Mahama for some “distasteful” comment she made.
But the yet-to-be minster stood by her words and upheld that Mr. John Mahama was “Wicked” and “embarrassment” due to his inability to develop the three Northern country where he come from.
She also urged Ghanaians to set an example in speech as a way of sanitizing the airwaves.
She made the comment in response to a question posed by former Deputy Education minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, one of the young appointees under the former National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
He wanted to know how Otiko Djaba would serve as a role model to children in using temperate language.
In her responses filled with innuendos, the “Iron Lady” said "babies with sharp teeth” should be a thing of the past.
The phrase was first used in Ghana’s political circle by Mr. John Jerry Rawlings to describe young politicians in the NDC skilled in denigrating comments and hurling invectives.
Although the president did not mention names - Okudzeto Ablakwa was tipped to be one of the “babies with sharp teeth”

Love her
That guy has some nerves asking those st*pid questions. If u ask s*lly questions, same are given as answers. Glad u stood your grounds. It's said, if u don't stand for something u fall for everything. Not many pple including men would have stood the heat. Kudos u didn't budge.
I will continue to say this. Some members of the Appointment Committee are asking unnecessary and irrelevant questions to gain recognition from the pay masters. Has President Mahama been asked anywhere to explain No Abaa ba see to anybody? We are nominee be forced to retract statements they have made. If need be such retracting of statements must be left out the Committees sitting.
since the starting of the vetting till now okudjeto has never ask any question that has served a purpose. he has not asked any question that is revealing of the nominee's competence. basic and irrelevant question. as ***barred word*** as Jordan Ayews first game in Gabon. why is he the only one getting the supposedly distasteful answers from the nominees? Okudjeto should sit up and be clever like Jordan Ayews third game in Gabon. well done Otiko.
The vetting NDC MPs on the committee are using this to settle scores. All ministers must learn from Otiku. They must stand their ground and not apologize for no wrong done. All they can do is spread falsehoods about them
Was disappointed by the breath of interviewing and the lack of substance to reach the goal for such task. I like the stance by Ms Otiko direct and short responses that she gave. If I were Okudjeto, I would not have asked such a question about myself. What did he intended to get out of that? It does no in any way add value to the process.
TEST THE COMPETENCIES OF THE PERSON, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND ETC BUT NOT THE PLATFORM TO RETRACT STATEMENT MADE EARLIER ON NOT PERTAINING TO VETTING. GO HIGH OTIKO
She is a common bigger. After the demise of her ***barred word***, corrupt father who properties were seized by JJ, hence her hatred for NDC
Who's Djato before Otiko?
she rly stood on her grounds n didnt allow any of them esp Okudjeto to bully her jst because she wants position... women we should be strong n nt give in to anyone jst because we wnt something... bravooo Ms Otiko
