Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that he was right by referring to ex-President John Dramani Mahama as an incompetent person during the 2016 electioneering period.
Dr Bawumia said the positive impact that just a fraction of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s policies and programmes has made in the lives of Ghanaians so far clearly buttresses his claim that the ex-Ghanaian leader was indeed incompetent.
The vice president observed that in just three months in political office, the NPP administration has been able to introduce proper policies that have bettered the living conditions of the majority of Ghanaians.
He said the government has restored the teacher and nursing trainee allowances, taxes on spare parts had been removed, VAT on domestic airlines had been quashed, financial services VAT taken away and Kayayei levy removed, just to mention but a few.
Jabs NDC
The vice president wondered why the NPP has been able to make strong impact in the lives of the people with its policies in less than 100 days in office, but the NDC, with a lot of funds at its disposal, could not do anything to help the people in eight years.
Incompetence Tag
“You can now see clearly the difference between competence and incompetence that I talked about during the campaign period,” Dr. Bawumia said, whilst addressing NPP victory rally at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi, yesterday.
He said the NDC government had huge gold and oil revenue at its disposal but because of incompetence, it was not able to introduce programmes that would have positive impact in the lives of the citizenry.
Dr. Bawumia said the NDC government was not able to pay teacher and nursing trainee allowances, monies due contractors were not paid, school feeding programme and all other social intervention programmes were about to collapse due to the lack of visionary leadership.
He stated that extreme hardship was the order of the day when the NDC was in power, noting that the unpleasant trend would be reversed soon by the NPP government, led by Nana Akufo-Addo.
According to him, what the NPP, under Nana Akufo-Addo, has achieved in less than 100 days, indicates that all the adjectives that he used to criticize the NDC administration, including Mr. Mahama as an incompetent person, were appropriate.
Jobs Coming
Dr. Bawumia was of the view that Ghanaians have not seen anything yet, saying that what the NPP government had achieved within just 90 days, which had gladden the hearts of the masses, is just a tip of the iceberg.
According to him, the weak economy which the NPP inherited from the NDC would see significant positive growth when the NPP eventually rolls out its major campaign promises so Ghanaians should watch out.
The vice president hinted that free education policy, zongo development fund and all the other promises that the NPP made during the campaign would soon see the light of day to improve the living conditions of the people.
He said the NPP government is yet to hit the road, saying that government would soon introduce a lot of programmes that would lead to a booming economy whereby the private sector would be a force to reckon with.
Dr. Bawumia indicated that the NPP government’s policies would result in provision of jobs for the energetic youth, who roamed about the streets without doing anything during the NDC era.

Please this is a free public advisory notice. No one should buy TCL Air-Conditioners. The product is very defective, the AC Boards are faulty and the almost resulted in my house catching fire. The 5 year warranty is a gimmick because when you raise defective concerns, Leslie and Joyce (employees) and Kumi and Philip (sub-contracted air-condition installers) give you the run around instead of replacing. I bought 2 No. 2.5 TCL Air Conditioner, dating October 2016 and either is yet to work after the 8th time switching. BUYER BEWARE, don't be ***barred word*** by their constant adverts on MAX TV like I did. A word to the wise.....
My electricity tarrif is still expensive than my rent ooo and please stop touting yourself. fuel is still expensive
listen to this ***barred word*** call vice President. You think Ghanaians can be taken for granted. You promised nursing trainees and teacher trainees allowances 3 months after assumption of office. Now u pushed it not September. The worse of it that continue students will not benefit meanwhile they voted for u
I am really really happy about the free education. I was paying fees for three people from my village and the free education will safe me some money. More importantly, corrupt MPs have no excuse to dip their hands into state coffers to pay the fees of the children of members of their parties. If Nana Addo does nothing this year but use the rest of the year to fight illegal miners who are destroying our lives that will be great. Kick out the Chinese and ban galamsey. It is more than arm robbery and I am very angry that Baba Jamal and Owusu Amankwah are trying to defend it because of lack of jobs. If there are no jobs, then we should be armed robbers? Why are some Ghanaian so narrow minded like that?
hhahahahahha,,oh oh bawumia. The suffering is even more worst
My name is Koliko. I am the most FO00LISH person to comment on peacefmonline. The NDC asked me to be insulting all over but I now realised they shared the money without given me equal share. I hereby declare myself the most F00OLISH person on Social Media.
I am yet to see the huge endorsement VP is talking about. My electricity and water bills have not reduced. Transport fares are still same and increasing. I don't get it when he says things are better now.
THE WORST PRESIDENT IN GHANA'S HISTORY.
Bawumia should ***barred word***!
The NPP Nana Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration is surely introducing the most appropriate economic, social and political policies into the economy; but, alongside, Ghanaians must most positively respond with and by honest, dutiful work. The NPP administration cannot and should not tolerate laziness and indifference to healthy, purpose work. The policies should be all right; but the citizenry must be told, through healthy advertisements, it just pays to work, and to work hard and honestly to succeed. Honest work for success matters, we need to insist. Ghanaians must start working hard, efficiently and honestly. This should promote the success the economy should show the world. Work! Work hard! Work dutifully hard! Everybody.
