Former Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti Region has described founder of his party as “a son of the NPP.”
According to Alhaji Mohammed Sani, Jerry John Rawlings has through his utterances and actions shown he has turned into an avowed enemy of the party he founded.
Alhaji Sani’s comments were in reaction to a meeting held between President Akufo Addo and all three former presidents
President Akufo-Addo yesterday met three former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings (1992-2000), John Agyekum Kufuor (2001-2008) and John Dramani Mahama (2012-2016) at the Flagstaff House, the seat of government.
First to arrive at the presidency was former President Jerry John Rawlings accompanied by his aides.
But Alhaji Sani insists, Jerry Rawlings’ gesture is nothing but treachery against the NDC.
“Rawlings is a son of the NPP and I am not afraid to say this on radio,” Alhaji Sani said.
“From days leading to the elections and even on elections day, Rawlings has done everything possible to sabotage the NDC, a party he founded.”
“I am reliably informed that Rawlings did not even vote for Mahama during the elections.”
”I am daring Rawlings, if he thinks he is a man, he should swear with Antoa Nyama that he actually voted for Mahama in the 2016 elections.”
“Rawlings has always believed in Antoa Nyama more than anything else and I am challenging him to swear by Antoa,” he charged.

Sadi is an opportunist , during the 1990's when the NDC gives the supporters money, sani and his cohorts embezzle the money. Sani was the reason why we lost the e l election. He should ***barred word*** or be disgraced.
How can a father and former president who can decide for himself come to your level and ***barred word*** himself. Do you take him as a small boy or what? Next time when you get power, you will listen to advice because power corrupt. Leave JJ alone and go take your antoa.
...the guy has gone gaga...nothing to contribute...
nkwaseamkwa. voting y3 force.
Just to remind you my brother that a Muslim never swear by anything but Allah. Why are you asking somebody to swear by something other than Allah. Please, do not let this world deceive you for we are here just like passengers making a stop over. Alhaji, your statement sometimes is sad to hear or read. Remember, the former president is not your Allah. Please, watch out whenever you wanted to say something. All power belong to Allah alone, remember that.
This man was made Parliamentarian and he graduated in it's term as the dumpest. He is now dareing Papa J. NDC no wonder this is your party
Why all this ndc a u not till people that Nana Addo can not be a president in this country. Than why please live papa J alone and sit opposition. God bless papa J and his family
even u mohammed saani did not vote for mahama. get out
We all know Mahama is happy to be in opposition because he could not control the chop chop in NDC. Therefore if Rawlings did not vote for NDC it is no case . NDC needed to go.
The extreme hatred for the NDC is all because of their founder. Since he knows that an NPP government may probe the wife, he quickly switch allegiance to them so that he can have his peace and enjoy his booty. His party , he also knows will not go after him even if he does the worse to them. Now for all the lawlessness around us, his contribution to them cannot be discounted. Who introduced insults into Ghana's politics? Do we remember who was referred to a sitting president as 'Ataa Ayi'. 'Julooii', 'that shortman' etc. When he disagreed with another sitting president he referred to him 'Ata Mortuary man', Konongo kaya' etc. He literaly hit the heads of the political divide and now he hides in his corner enjoying his booty and peace of mind. It is really painful for his party men to have stood by him in those days when he was all over the place for the wrong reasons. Felix Wellington rightly described him as a 'con man'.
