The Member of Parliament for Keta and Deputy Minority Ranking Member on Employment, Richard M. Quashigah, is asking Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to apologise to the public and the Minority in Parliament for his use of ‘undiplomatic’ language.
A statement issued by Quashigah Friday noted that Dr. Bawumia has been quoted by the news media as describing the minority as an ignorant bunch who must do some reading to educate themselves following their recent criticism of government’s issuance of a domestic bond as lacking transparency.
He said Vice President Bawumia was quoted to have made the comment at a recent engagement in Washington D. C., while responding to the minority criticism.
“If indeed those were his words, then it is not only unfortunate but a very jaundiced conclusion to have been made by him.
“If indeed the reportage as put out by the media is accurate, then he is advised to learn to speak with diplomacy and dignity expected of a vice president or else before long he could cause this nation an incalculable international embarrassment.
“Assuming without admitting that the minority got it wrong, couldn't he have clarified without insults?
“Mr. Bawumia, the current Vice President of Ghana, must do the excellent thing by withdrawing and must apologise to the good people of Ghana. The use of intemperate language is unbecoming of the Vice President,” he said.

It's amazing how people, all of a sudden discover their sense of responsibility. This Quarshigah man is on record to have, without any provocation from the current Chief Justice, insulted her and described her a "dangerous CJ", who "has no shame" and has "little dignity left". What apology did he render to the Chief Justice? If this man any sense of propriety, he would just shut-up!
Apology my foot.... Koku Anyidoho called him mutum banza what happened? This NDC MPs a not only ign0rant but f0000lish hypocrates....
Apology from where. Never will it come today, tomorrow nor the day after the next day. You really do not read and indeed a bunch of ignoramuses.
The Vice President has been too charitable with your group... infact he had treated you with kids glove. He said this during the campaign and you (NDC) have consistently proved his position to be right. Just accept the fact and educate yourselves on matters before opening your mouth wide.
Is undiplomatic same as intemperate? Minority statement was full of insults and pure kwasiasem. Your JDm constantly insulted Nana and Bawumia, Quashigah was happy . There will be no apology.
Richard Quashigah should be last persons to be calling for an apology for a so called name-calling. He is on record to have insulted the Chief Justice. Does he remember uttering these words in 2010? “We have a dangerous CJ, a Chief Justice who has so compromised herself and has no shame to even resign from her position to protect the little dignity that she has. But she is still in office after ***barred word*** the state lands.” He who lives in a glass house.......
Apologise for exposing your incompetence, ignorance and hypocrisy ? Really
NDC is synonymous with uneducated group
Apology under my foot. When your bunch of ***barred word*** colleagues calling him as lair where were you. Let us practice clean democracy that devoid of hypocrisy. I also believe we can do so when the electorate stop voting for mischievous MPs like you
Was Bawumia not stating the truth. Please be humble and educate yourselves because you're an embarrassment.
