NDC Deputy Communications Director, Fred Agbenyo says the Nana Addo administration will only enjoy one-term in government.
Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Fred Agbenyo noted that taking a critical look at how the economy is being run by President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government, he has no doubt that Ghanaians will vote for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), come 2020.
To him, President Nana Addo is mismanaging the economy, so "we (NDC) are preparing and organizing ourselves and I am very certain. I have no doubt in my mind that 2021, when God permits, we're going to form the next government. Because what we are seeing now at this stage, I have no doubt in my mind that this government cannot last beyond one-term. They will be a one-term government and NDC will come and take over."
Touching on whether former President John Dramani Mahama will lead the NDC into the 2020 general elections, Fred Agbenyo stated categorically that "nobody can prevent him (Mahama)" from contesting the party's primaries to become a two-time flagbearer of the party.
“If we open room for our primaries and he thinks he wants to come and run again, nobody can prevent him from coming. If he goes and the party delegates vote for him, he will run and continue the good works he started.”
