The death of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama has left the nation in a state of distress and one person who has been heavily affected is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako.
The NPP Chair who is known to be outspoken has confessed to Peacefmonline.com that he was broken and wept after observing some videos and images portraying the gruesome murder which took place at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region.
It is on this note that he has warned the “heartless politicians” in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to attempt to make capital out of the unfortunate incident.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, pointed out that it was completely needless and wrong for the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia to attribute the death of the Captain Mahama to President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The NDC scribe has said the gruesome murder happened "under the direct supervision of President Akufo-Addo".
According to him, ever since President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC handed over a peaceful Ghana to President Akufo-Addo’s NPP on the 7th January, 2017, the nation has known no peace.
“From the beating up of a serving police officer at the Flagstaff House to the beating up of a Regional Security Co-ordinator, the disruption of a court process, the burning of toll booths, and the molestation of civil servants, the lawless culture of impunity has now reached the doorstep of the Ghana Armed Forces,” he has claimed.
But in responding to his claims, Chairman Wontumi wondered if the NDC scribe “really thinks”.
“The death of this innocent soldier is new in the minds of his families and all Ghanaians. But we have an adult who is supposed to put on his thinking cap all day talk foolishly like Asiedu Nketia. What really happened to our morals?
We have been educated to respect the dead but Asiedu Nketia has no respect for him and the president. All he seeks achieve is to make the NDC aware that he still hasn’t lost his folly and stupidity that lead them into opposition last year”.
In expressing his condolence, Chairman Wontumi stated that “my deepest sympathies go out to the family of Mahama. May God give you (Captain Mahama) the comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of your loved one rest in peace."

@ADDAE, its june 3rd and not 10th ok?? Dont just comment but rather get ur facts right. And hey, no one blamed mahama but the institutions that see to these filling stations. Chairman Wontumi is right, this is not the time to apportion blames. Its a time to grieve with our brother's family as a nation. Ndc is always expecting something evil to happen so they can blame the government for it, its a big shame to Asiedu Nketia

It's not about Asiedu or Wontumi but if it was bad and irresponsible on the part of Mahama's government on June 3th, it's also bad and irresponsible on Nana Addo's government. Nana should wake up if he is sleeping we are tired of all this crimes.
ALL THOSE CRITICIZING ASIEDU NKETIA SHOULD SEND THEIR MEMORIES BACK TO THE JUNE 10 DISASTER IN ACCRA. WHAT KIND OF INSULTS DIDN'T NPP SUPPORTERS HEAP ON MAHAMA AS IF IT WAS PRESIDENT WHO CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. TODAY, YOU ARE ONES JUMPING THE GUN TO SAY IT IS A SENSITIVE ISSUE AND SHOULD NOT POLITICIZE. WHAT IS MORE HYPOCRITICAL THAN THIS?. WHERE WAS THIS YOUR ***barred word*** CHAIRMAN WONTUMI AND THE LIKES OF KWAMI SEF KAYI. POSTERITY WILL JUDGE US ALL.
When you give birth to a ***barred word*** ***barred word*** this is what happens.A teacher becoming a politician without manners. ASEDU NKETIA INDEED YOU ARE A BIG BIG ***barred word***
Maybe just maybe Asiedu Nkestiah and his NDC goons killed MP JB Danquah.
Asiedu Nketiah and the NDCs commenting here are so insentitive and cruel to the bone. You lost an election bitterly, but that does not have to make you so maaaad and stewwwpid.
And your utterances as folly as the very person you are accusing him of being folly. NPP is in charge now and any crime committed by mobs or an individual are their sole responsibilities. However unconformable that may be to ears of people like you " Wontumi". Justice must be served for this fallen soldier and also justice must also be served for the citizens of Ghana to prevent this unfortunate situation from ever happen again I sincerely hope that rule of law should be the norm now, rather than retribution from the army. No one is above the law RIP CAPTAIN MAHAMA..
Chirman Wontumi's response to Asiedu Nketia's comments regarding Capt. Maxwell Mahama's death is a perfect one. Asiedu Nketia is reducing himself in value by the day, all in the name of politics. Very soon even children are not going to respect him.
Yes it is truth its Addo who masterminded the gruesome killing of Mahama because he like blood no go come you only talking to protect your job but Addo is a blood sucker demon you seeing so
