Scores of Ghanaians in the United Kingdom and Ireland gathered at Westminster to demonstrate against the government of President Akufo-Addo.
The president was due to address a town hall meeting before the demonstrators hit the streets with placards protesting against “lawlessness in Ghana” and alleged corruption among others. “Mr. President we need a safe Ghana,” “Mr. President Stop the lawlessness by your vigilantes,” “Mr. President Gross incompetence!” were some of the inscriptions on the placards.
Speaking to Starr News, some of the disgruntled protestors said they are peeved over the “corrupt leadership of Akufo-Addo” and are demonstrating over it. Reports say the demonstrators caused gridlock at main roads such as Milbank, Victoria street, George Street, and Broad Sanctuary.
The government is yet to respond to the demonstrators.

Scores of people? But they are only 8 people demonstating.... i dont taya....hahaha
Wonders shall never end. Today we have big mouthed npp sympathizers insulting demonstrators in London, when the same ediots were praising them whe:n they did same against mahama. What hypocrisy! Nobody should think Nana addo is untouchable, he not to be treated with kids gloves. More demo awaits him else where. If npp keep insulting Ghanaians abroad, then they are big trouble because ropaa would used in the 2020 election. They better keep quiet.
Scores of people indeed. This is very funny.
How revealing! How did these corrupt elements of the disgraced NDC ***barred word*** grouping earned visas to the UK? How much of the looted Ghana hard-earned nation state money has been stolen out to plan and stage this criminal abuse and insult to Ghana? What will ever efface the horror abuses of the Mahama cohorts by the magnitude of the evil their roguery depict? These evil criminals never will stop at anything, as we saw happen before December 2016 polls in Ghana, to nurture disaffection in their opposite camp. NDC is dead by us. It never can ever resurrect while blood courses through the native Ghanaian citizenry.
Such ***barred word*** and nincompoops!! This handful of NDC demonstrators have mixed themselves with genuine protestors of the English government's handling of the London fires and is bringing disrepute to the name of Ghana and Ghanaians abroad. They're ***barred word*** holding up two placards each. Their effort is so pathetic and sad. Shame NDC, shame!!!!
this can not win u power if u do this u push some of us away
WHAT A BUNCH OF JOKERS AND ***barred word*** SO-JOURNERS ON DISPLAY. THESE HANDFUL OF UNPATRIOTIC AND SELF-CENTERED GHANAIANS ARE PARADING THEIR FOOLISHNESS BECAUSE THEIR FREE MONEY HAS STOPPED FLOWING...
The President of the republic of Ghana,is doing exceptionally well by putting in place measures, which paves the way for the progression of Ghana to be assessed after every hundred days. The demonstrators concerns regarding the escalation of crime in Ghana is a valid point but,Nana Akufu Addo has being in power for less than a year, it takes time for a major issue like the bringing the crime rate in Ghana down. The Npp party inherited this problem from their predecessors.Nana Akufu Addo is a staunch believer in the rule of law and his human rights records is exemplary.I personally believe,Nana and his government deserve to be given time to bring the perpetrators of violent acts to justice. This can be achieved through, effective intelligence gathering,a well informed police force, armed with resources, which paves the way for crime to be combated.I am urging the discerning people of Ghana,to stand by Nana Akufu Addo,he is the right man for the job.
