The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong says it will take more than four years to clear the debt left behind by the erstwhile John Mahama administration.

As a result, he has asked President Akufo-Addo not to focus too much on settling the debt and rather focus on other aspects of the economy.

The ruling government has indicated that it inherited a heavily indebted economy and it will take time to settle it.

Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Maafo some months ago stated that the debts left by the NDC administration will render Akufo-Addo’s government stagnant if he tries to pay them all off.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Adom TV’s 'Badwam' programme, Tuesday, the NPP kingpin said the ruling government should put some of its resources into giving out contracts for entrepreneurs like himself to benefit instead of settling all of NDC’s debt.

“NPP can’t even clear NDC debts in four years . . . NPP is using all the money to settle NDC debts; they should set some aside and give us contracts to do . . . ” he said.

Nana Akufo Addo indeed you are a man . You have shown that man pass man. You have put this man at his rightful place. Ayikooo.....

Name: KEN AGYEPONG SHOULD THINK !!!!
For people saying Ken Agyepong is correct ; they are WRONG BIG TIME !!!!! because the fundamantals of the economy is not right to start spending ; our deficit is around GHC150 billion besides we are still under the care of the IMF programme which means we cannot just spend any how ; until we wean ourself off the IMF programme Nana Addd cannot spen as he wants until we are divorced from the IMF programme ; is KJen saying we should not pay already committed debts ; why does not Nana Addo start collecting the monies stolen by these NDC kreminals; a lot of these debts are over bloated and the NDC are kcreaming off the excess cash ; for a start the AG should put her foot down and seize woyomes properties _NOW !!!!!

As simple as that. Stop paying those create loot and share debts. We need jobs. Hon Ken dont stop lashing Nana Kwaku until he does what is good for us. We did not vote for him to pay debts of ndc.

Name: nDC debts, but no prosecution
we must stop lionizing Nana addo as if he is a God. He must be criticised TO DO THE RIGHT THING. The poeple of Ghana wants jobs. If they do not see the jobs, do you think they will vote for him again? Is NPP willing to go back to opposition again? Don't criticise Ken. You have to FORCE NANA to do what Ghanaians voted him to do. Create Jobs and stop disturbing us with NDC debts.

please, NPP followers, you have to understand that having people in the party who criticise it to do the right thing is good for the party. If you do not do so, the NDC will gain the upper hand with the floating voters. If you are not careful, you will go into opposition.

Name: NPP must be careful
Ken is right. The people of Ghana voted for change for the better, this includes getting decent jobs. If Nana addo does not do so, the people will lose faith in him. That is the way NDC will come to power.

If NPP goes into opposition, it will not be because of Ken. It will be because of people in NPP who refuse to make Nana do the right thing.

The gloom predicted by the minority during the round table discussion session is hanging over our heads as a nation like the sword of domocles, and its associated doom will soon be evident as we enter into yet another year of uncertainties of any real glimmer of hope. Even if we admit that this is the ramifications of our irresponsible and reckless apathy to elect good leadership for this tiny nation. Imagine having an eeedioot like this as a law maker, with little or no knowledge whatsoever about governance dictating to a president. And the irony of it is that you will find L.O.U.TS including the president elect singing his praise. Making him a de facto president.

it is now clear to me that if NPP would go into opposition it will be through the likes of this Kennedy Agyapong. This man talks like he has no brain.I have never heard him contributing in any useful manner in an intelligent conversationIt is always 'I put my money into this 'I paid so so and so's school fees.blah blah blah.Someone should really put this maniac down before he helps to put Ghana into the hands of this evil entity called the NDC.
