The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed disappointment at questions posed to the President at the just ended Encounter with the media.
According to him, questions asked by the media had no bearing on issues bothering the Ghanaian citizen.
He made this statement yesterday on Accra FM during an interview with Jerry Forson.
“They promised Ghanaians they are not going to increase fuel for a very longtime, but recently we heard an increment in fuel. These are the issues we were expecting you to raise when you met with the President”, he said.
During proceedings at the encounter with the media, the Minister for Information, Mustapha Hamid asked journalists gathered at the Flagstaff House to avoid long preambles because the President had a meeting to attend.
This according to Asiedu Nketia indicates that the President was not ready to engage the media.
“Why didn’t he postpone the encounter with the media if he knew he had a meeting? This alone shows that the President has no time for Ghanaians”, he lamented
He further stated that the media could have generated three questions from that incident alone.
President Akufo- Addo is recalled to have said his appointees are not corrupt when he was asked a question relating to allegations bedeviling his government.
However, General Mosquito has expressed disappointment at the President’s response.
He said “there were contradictions in Akufo-Addo’s statement. He said current office holders are likely to be investigated and prosecuted by the Special Prosecutor if a case is made up against them as past office holders. He again stated that his appointees are not corrupt. Who is Martin Amidu going to prosecute then?”
According to him, this shows that the Special Prosecutor has been appointed to investigate and prosecute only the past office holders in the John Mahama administration.
He further stated that the President would be known by Ghanaians as someone who supports corruption if he continues to back his appointees over corrupt allegations leveled against them.

look at these ungrateful beings. u spent 8 yrs to mess up everything and he is working hard to put the country back on its feet and u are complaining on behalf of Ghanaians. u shd leave me out bcos i know he is working had for me. is it talking to the media that will bring us the jobs we are looking for? u want him to spent all his time with the media on answering questions so he will not be able to meet the ple that will most likely bring jobs to this country. I know u guys are evil but i just dont know the degree of ur evilness. bcos it keeps going up every day. if u have any question keep it to urself after all u and i are not in the same situation. u still have some money from the loot with u. just go and enjoy it be4 nsawam comes knocking.
The Angels assigned to Nana Addo are hovering all over the country, so Asiedu Nketia cannot fly on his demonic errands again. "Bayibonsam".
"Mustapha Hamid asked journalists gathered at the Flagstaff House to avoid long preambles because the President had a meeting to attend." If the president had a meeting to attend then why organized the encounter with the media in the first place? Why not wait for the president to be free on a particular day and then organize it, so that there is ample time for questions? Mustapha is of late not delivering as expected. The other time he was not aware of the setting up of courts for people who evade TV license and this time round telling some journalists who have made time out of the busy schedules that the president could not take questions from them. I find this very insulting to those who were not allowed to ask questions. It appears he is not top of issues.
Today how many times have u fed the cats and dogs in the house whilst nobody ate for the whole day.
in fact you can die no body cares. do you have an idea what people think about you and your ***barred word*** party NDC
How can the president accept ndc thi*ves cry of others being thi*ves like them when the special prosecutor is at hand. The man is a lawyer not a communication expert so deal with facts and evidence, if you have evidence like the NPP has gathered enough evidence against the ndc what prevents you too to do same and send to the special Prosecutor? Making noise with your mouth with no evidence won't help anyone and the time for propaganda and lies are over.
buh who cares about your disappointment Mr Nketiah. You are a history ......fight hard to remain relevant in the NDC and pray to retain your seat wai.......Nana - so far, so good.....
