Seasoned journalist Kwesi Pratt has taken a jab at Hajia Fati of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for choosing to exercise her muscles on a journalist at the party headquarters.
Hajia Fati, on Friday, May 4, 2018 assaulted an Adom FM reporter Ohemaa Sekyiwaa for attempting to cover an incident at the headquarters after Hajia refused to allow a suspended official of the party, Sammy Crabbe, from picking forms to contest the National Chairmanship.
She allegedly physically assaulted the reporter and her reason; she thought "the woman (reporter) standing there did not look like a reporter. I thought it was one of Sammy Crabbe’s women who wanted to take pictures of me. The lady did not look like a reporter. She resembled an onion seller. She did not look like a reporter at all".
Kwesi Pratt, commenting on the issue, made a flashback to 1992 when Hajia Fati was mercilessly beaten to pulp by some Police Officers when she joined a demonstration and so wondered why she would perpetuate a similar action that she didn't like on another person.
Mr. Pratt further recounted several times he has personally advised Hajia Fati to stop creating a bad name and reputation for herself, for which she has constantly vowed to turn a new leaf; but it appears his words only fell on deaf ears.
He registered his displeasure with the series of unpleasant behavior displayed by Hajia but further stated emphatically that she shouldn't be the only target for condemnation.
“We shouldn’t beat our own party members. We shouldn’t beat opposition members. We shouldn’t beat anybody. Why should you beat someone? Just because the person disagrees with you, but you too don’t agree with the person and so you deserve to be beaten as well? What’s happening? It is not good at all. It makes living in the country dangerous,” he said on Peace FM's Kokrokoo.

eiii Pratt, you justified the brutality meted out to those who were demonstrating against the EC chair sometime ago, so why dont you justify this one too. MR FAIR AND KNOW ALL
I am not in any way condoning the attacks on the Multi-Media Journalists but I think there should be some checks on these so called journalists especially at Adom FM. People speak at Adom FM as if they own Ghana especially that lady/ladies on the morning show with Captain Smart. You are to review News Papers in the Morning but these Village Champions from Berekum Cato speaks with Sentiments and attacks as if they are specialists on every field. Listen to that lady called AYB, ie Afia Boakyewaa Yiadom; she sounds so bad but it is as if there's no one watching over the workers at Multi-Media. She speaks as if she knows everything but I wish she will hear herself back and see how FOLLY she sounds. Watch your ways Multi-Media. Why not Despite Groups or any other Media Group? From the attacks at Police Headquarters to the NHIS to NPP HQ; what is it that could be done better? Sit your guys down and give them the Ethics of Journalism.
