The Minority Leader in Parliament, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, has proposed the need to come up with a legislative instrument that would put a ceiling on the number of ministers that the President can appoint.
According to Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the President should be given a ceiling of 65 ministers and that he should not be able to appoint more than that.
This, the Minority Leader thinks should be backed by a legislative instrument.
Mr Iddrisu made the proposal Wednesday morning when he delivered a solidarity message at the launch of the national public sector reform strategy in Accra.
He said the ceiling must be done with support from across the political divide in a bi-partisan manner.
