A group of ardent NPP supporters is calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to consider NPP Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie’s inclusion in his yet to be released reshuffle of ministers.

The group lauded the President for appointing top notch individuals to various sectors in his administration after advising that equally competent individuals must be substitutes to steer the affairs of the country.

According to them, “Dr. Ayew Afriyie is economically, socially and medically too good for the President to ignore prior to his much awaited reshuffle. His loyalty and commitment to the NPP is questionable. He is ready to serve.”

President Akufo-Addo will in the coming days announce a reshuffle of individuals to serve as ministers and deputy ministers in his government.

The list is likely to be released later this week following pressure from within the New Patriotic Party.

Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie who has been highly praised by some politicians has took to Facebook to thank the group for the support but said “never and ever my style to lobby for a position.”

“I will and forever remain loyal to our [NPP] common cause. It is my divine right to see the President through a full 8 years term and NPP government for a much longer term in God I trust.”

“I pray we all support the President and party at all times and in all decisions. Reward is good but there is time for everything. The time now is to stay resolutely together and resolve to rally support for the President, government & party. Thank you very much folks!” he added.
