Information available to Peacefmonline.com indicates that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has put a stop to the long convoy that follows him anytime he goes on tours.
According to our sources, all Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Members of Parliament, Municipal and District Chief Executives who are mandated or wish to accompany the President on his 5-day tour of the Ashanti Region will have to make themselves comfortable in an STC bus provided by the state.
With this new directive, government appointees willing to follow the President on his 5 day tour to the Ashanti Region would not get the pleasure of using their V8 Landcruisers and Pickup trucks.

That is good initiative aimed at cutting cost to save resources for development. That modesty is superb and should be emulated by all government appointees as well as heads of institutions. Where the V8 cars will take the ministers, the bus can equally do so. Thanks Mr president.
Ahhh I love Bawumia look at how he has transformed the nation, everything is in order, more money in our pockets, cheap food and items arrrrh bawumiah you have done well............you are not like your country man who is incompetent, continue the good work, haaahaaaahaaaaa hunger be what, super incompetent Bawuspeeeee.
You think you are too wise abi!! After the 5 days they will not use the V8's? Papa stop this "ma tricki wo" political k cantanta and cut down the size of government!! By the way, will this bus follow your convoy at the speed you drive?
Terrible decision! Are those ministers supposed to be on trip? If yes, let them come with their official vehicles be it v8, v12 v19 or whatever v it is. There are very serious security implications with having all the ministers travelling with you on the same bus. God forbid if something happens to the bus you may lose your entire government. Some of these ministers are very accomplished so Nana should stop belittling them. Nana should learn from Kufour and stop the showmanship and playing to the gallery. What he should have done really was cut down on the size of the government not these cosmetic fixes
That is exactly what I was thinking, some of them will try to play smart and send the drivers and V8's ahead, a very good call from the presidency but knowing how stubborn Ghanaians are hmmm... well let's see what happens
if anyone cares to educate me, why do we still have 110 ministers of state and why is Kofi Adda still at post?? cutting convoys is just a joke. Mills started using a lean convoy from day one. when i went to purchase prepaid electricity today, i was charged service tax of 8.00 per month. the old man should have just retired. now everyone is paying the price of our folly.
NDC PEOPLE TALK TALKA TOO MUCH CHOP MATTER
This is a joke of the century. Cut down the big size of the ministers that is what is important and not this. How many times do you travel? and do you even need to travel with large convey? Cheap politics
GOOD Governance in Motion
Mr. president, excellent, but, why say those who are willing as if those who are not interested to use the bus can choose not to follow you. No! please,Mr. President, you dont have to beg this issue. it is- we are going here or there and they have no option to say no. Remember they swore an oath of loyalty and service to the nation. Those who will prove too big to use a bus must be fired, and Ghanaians will ,love you more for that. After all ,we are not the first nation to prove we are servants rather than LORDS over the people.
