Former High Commissioner to India, Sam Pee Yalley has blamed the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison for the collapse of some indigenous banks in the country.
According to him, it is a sign of 'failure' for so many banks to collapse under his (Dr Addison) supervision.
"The new BoG; is he not ashamed that under his tenure the banks are collapsing? When the first bank collapsed he should have resigned. I am calling on him to resign honourably because he is playing politics instead doing the work of a regulator. A regulator that supervises the collapse of institutions under you is a bad regulator. Dr Addison is a monumental failure," he indicated.
Sam Pee Yalley who was contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold's Alhaji and Alhaji, Saturday also asked President Akufo-Addo to dissolve the current board of Central Bank and constitute a new one.
