Former President John Mahama has asserted that, the return of the National Democratic Congress in 2020 will relieve Ghanaians of the current hardship being experienced under the leadership of Nana Akufo Addo.
The former president seems optimistic of the chances of the NDC in clinging onto victory in 2020, therefore assuring Ghanaians of a better economic life when they return. He made this known during his campaign tour of Gushegu in the Northern Region.
“During NDC’s period in government, we see rapid development in terms of infrastructure and then we see some relief in terms of people’s living and then we see improved economic living. If NDC comes to power, we will relieve some of the hardship you are feeling currently.” The former President was also optimistic the National Democratic Congress will return to power in 2020.
“I am sure that NDC will be given another chance because wherever you go in the country people complain of hardship. When we were in government they said there was hardship and at the time petrol a gallon was 14 cedis and today it is 26. At some places it is 25, and other places 24. People have seen the pinch.”
John Mahama is vigorously touring the entire country to seek the mandate of the party’s delegates in the upcoming flagbearship elections in December.
He is being contested by some key bigwigs of the party, facing the likes of former Minister of Trade, Spio Garbrah and second deputy Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa we are even tired ! I think now it is worth seeing what Ndoum /Greenstreet brings ... Also, I will not feel too much pain even if Akua Donkor messes the economy.
Thanks to all people who made contributions to this issue. If politicians were fair and frank to themselves some of would have started to make their own decision whether to put themselves forward for political office. My heart bleeds when I visit some patrs of the North. Where the are no trees on lands as wide is four miles square. So I, so relieved when JDM decided to do tree plantations in this part of the country. Allaaas the good initiative ended as funds were seriously consumed for the word "CORRUPTION"
Go and tell these to the marines
Massa, we don't want you again. NPP is not perfect but at least they've given us Free SHS. My sister is now going to Achimota for free. My mother used to cry about how she will find money to pay for my sister's SHS. She voted for JM but after Free SHS. she is now a full NPP supporter. Nana continue.
for two years you never increase salary, your first salary increase in your third was 7%,while your men were taking double salary, you think we bi ***barred word***
THIS IS INCOMPETENT TALK!!! Well NPP we are saying NEVER AGAIN! NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU
If running a country is all about erecting infrastructure, then, I can easily manage Ghana. Developing an economy is not all about the built environment. Mr. Mahama, please, change your strategy.
The delegates will determine. He will be the next person after Sir John to say: "Fear the delegates".
Simple question, what did you do when you had the opportunity to govern us , Julor, you governed the country for more than 4yrs and what did the country get in return, Dumsor, corrupttion, open th!every, and incompetencc, you think we don’t have bra!ns. Change what, 3wi
NPP I have no problem helping pay the fees for a poor person whether in the village or in the city but I have a problem paying same for a rich man’s child. Why should the poor and the rich all benefit from free SHS when the rich are willing and able to pay. Why won’t you consult those who have the brains and can devise a means to make the rich pay. Can’t we use the fees paid by the rich to develop further and better infrastructure? Why should children of Doctors and Pharmacists, Engineers, MPS, Ministers, Business men have free education for their children? Why should you impose taxes that will negatively impact both the rich and the middle class? It doesn’t make sense. No one is against free SHS for the needy but NPP people like the finance Minister is against government paying fees for his children.
