The National Leadership of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) wishes to commend the Government of Ghana cum the Ministry of Education for heeding to the myriad of legitimate calls for an inclusion of a representative each from the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) and the Teachers and Education Workers Union (TEWU), following the dissolution of the University's governing Council.
Whilst we encourage all stakeholders to grant the interim council the maximum support to deliver its mandate diligently, within the specified time frame, we implore the interim council to embark on a broad stakeholder engagement with the students to ensure that all their grievances are addressed, and the best interest of students sought and made paramount.
We also urge the interim Governing council to, with alacrity, employ the necessary steps in ensuring that normalcy is restored to allow academic work recommence in earnest.
In view of this, we are entreating UTAG to call off their strike action, to ensure that scheduled academic work continues unprohibited.
GRASAG National remains committed to pursuing the maximum welfare of all students at all times, and we assure the Governing Council and the Government of our constant support in the quest for the very best teaching and learning conditions in every institution.

If GRASAC members feel they have wings let them teach themselves!!!! They cannot offer poor and porous advice to their Lecturers. Who born dog? In fact UTAG should add suspension of all graduate research supervision in response to this ***barred word*** from GRASAC executives.
How can UTAG declare strike action when students are at home? What effect would that achieve? It's unfortunate UTAG has abandoned common sense and resorted to emotionalism and sentimentalism... What about if the government decides not to pay your salaries for as long as you UTAG continue with your senseless strike?
They should strike and stay home forever! Ndcfuo nlwase*afuo is this too a political message for you? nons*nse ! ndc should pay them while they stay home, Mo ***barred word*** no! The VC must be fired,he doesn't deserve to stay there! he should go to the ndc ideological school and celebrate his VC there!Osagyefo didn't build the KNUST for the ndc!
the strike should continue until reason prevails.
