Monday, January 7, 2019 marked two years since Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo took over the reins of government.

According to his administration, it is so far so good.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) however feels different.

Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu described the two years as one that has been full of “significant failures in many aspects of governance and the management of the economy.

“We have seen the president forcefully introduce Free SHS when the country is yet to achieve free compulsory universal basic education where literacy and numeracy are significant and important in the development of human capital,” he added.

But the former Central Regional Chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacobs says President Akufo-Addo deserves praises for some of the policies he has instituted.

“Two years in government; I can praise them for the railway sector…he (sector Minister, Joe Ghartey) is doing very well…NABCO is not a bad idea. It favours some families and they are happy about it. There are some policies which are not bad but we need permanent employment for our youth” he said during a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’
