The New Patriotic Party has urged the opposition NDC not to politicize the death of undercover investigator Ahmed Hussien-Suale.
According to the ruling party, such conduct could impede the investigation processes by the police and eventually make the perpetrators get away with murder.
Speaking on Okay Fm's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, General Secretary of the party, Mr. John Boadu explained that it is very irresponsible to be pointing fingers at one person who might not even be the perpetrator of the murder.
"We should be more decorous and broad thinking in our discussion to ensure that the murders don't get away . . . Let's allow the police to do their independent investigations and not politicize the death of the boy. The police, when resourced properly is more than capable in resolving the matter," he said.
The Minority in Parliament has insisted Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong should be arrested over the murder of Ahmed Hussien-Suale, an undercover investigative journalist with Tiger Eye P.I.
Speaking at a press conference Monday, former deputy Interior minister and MP for Builsa North James Agalga said, “we call on the law enforcement agencies to promptly cause Mr. Agyapong’s arrest and prosecute him for his actions.”
The Minority arrived at this conclusion following their interpretation of section 20(1) of the Criminal and Other Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), which reads:
“A person who, directly or indirectly, instigate, commands, counsel, procures, solicit, or in any manner purposely aids, facilitates, encourages, or promotes, whether by a personal act or presence or otherwise, and a person who does an act for the purposes of aiding, facilitating, encouraging, or promoting the commission of criminal offence by any other person, whether known or unknown, certain, or uncertain, commits the criminal offence of abetting that criminal offence, and of abetting the other person in respect of that criminal offence.”
However, Mr. Boadu insists it is too early to blame someone for the death of the investigator.
"Don't forget Ahmed Suale is not the only person he (Hon. Kennedy Agyapong) showed his picture on his TV that has been murdered. There is this other guy who was embroiled in a similar case with Anas and that person has also been murdered, now do we say that Kennedy Agyapong caused his murder?" he quizzed.
"This is not logic, at least, the minority should be broad in their thinking when discussing issues like these," he explained further.

The NPP has to strategize to counter the NDC's line of politics. The NDC used Yaa Naa to win 2008 despite all that Kuffuor did so expect them to do worse. The NDC cannot compete on the economy, social interventions, agric, railway etc. so killings to innocent people will be their weapons for election 2020
Someone is dead because of someone's bufffoonery and you are there trying to justify. Nana Addos side of the Nyantakyi's investigation must be aired. If Anas airs it or not he will be killed. This is a man who is ready to close down indigenous banks in spite of the thousands of youths employed by these local banks. He is heartless.
This NPP government is the most brutall government since independence. Killing of indigenous banks, killing of journalist, throwing bauxite away for 100 years, spilling our oil for 15 percent as if Ghana's oil is fake. Mbellefo! If all you think people about is NDC then think broadly, there are too many people facing hardship in the country. Your incompetence is worrying!
JB please don't advice these b0neheads. They are so $+upid to the point of disbelief. Why are the NDC so quiet on Hafiz's mysterious death months after exposing the c0rrup+ side of Anas and his cronies? Hafiz was specifically threatened with death by Anas's sister why isn't the same interpretation of section 20(1) of the Criminal and Other Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29)being applied? We will one day wake to the news that Anas has been arrested in the USA for his c0rrup+ practices after years of being monitored. That is when Ghanaians will realise that all that glitters is not gold. Check out the AU at Menzgold. lol.
Anas A.Anas is on record to have bribed judges to pass judgements wrongly, those judges were shown on TV taking bribes, now if people who felt affected by these judges verdict also go ahead to kill the judges, will Anas be accused of aiding their killings by showing their faces in TV?,If the faces shown on TV by Kennedy Agyapong as members of TIGER PI are actually true likeness of the said members, then there is credibility in Kennedy Agyapong's documentary on 'Who watches the watchman'. The referee who took bribe to award a dubious penalty against Kotoko in their match against Hearts of oak as shown by Anas on TV,assuming Kotoko supporters decide to attack the said referee and end up killing him, will Anas be arrested and prosecuted for showing the said referees face on TV to aid in his killing?
It is about time the party sits Ken down and school him about his unbecoming conduct. As an MP and a member of the party his attitude, utterances, conduct etc piss off some of us. If you behind the scene fund the party and you turn around through your conduct drag the name of the party in the mud, then what have you achieved? You are rather creating higher discontentment among the level headed members of the party. He is a grown up but his attitude is so repugnant.
DO YOU EXPECT BROAD THINKING FROM NDC? DO THEY EVEN THINK LET ALONE THINKING BROAD?
As for NDC even in opposition they are incompetent Have you guys realized all this no0nsense is as a result of one greedy selfish self centered boguuuuus irrelevant anas? Anas is causing more harm to Ghanaians and needs to be jailed. Who does he think he is? Anas my fooot
I think the party and govt should come out strongly with issues like this. let Ghanaians also know that the guy who accused Anas of taking $50000 bribe from him has been poisoned. deal with the suspicious nature of Anas in Ahmed's death. why should govt sit aloof for someone who claims to be fighting corruption turn round to be collecting bribes? Martin Amidu raised legitimate issues concerning Anas and at that time we thought Martin was wrong. let's go back to the issues Martin raised.
All this would have been avoided if you guys have cautioned Ken. Ask the police they will tell you there is something called circumstantial evidence, if i go round saying I will beat you up anywhere i meet you and I am found later in a pool of blood somewhere, I will be deemed a prime suspect till I am able to prove my innocence. This is exactly what is happening in this case, I hope we will all learn a lesson out of this. And the argument that he is not the only person whose picture was shown does not hold water, what if he was the easiest target? Ken. can speak for himself but the way the party communicators have taken over his communication is not helping issues, some of their arguments border on absurdities
