The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has called on the executives of the National Democratic Congress to be serious for once in their decisions.

According to him, ahead of the by-elections, all indications were pointing to the fact that the NDC and their executives were not ready for the by-election.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Programme, he maintained that the NDC was never ready for the by-election.

Because of this by-eleciton, I relocated to the constituency to be able to monitor everything on the ground. We were there working with our team including the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo. This shows how serious we were as a party for this by-election”

"The NDC never even looked prepared for the by elections. Even on the day of voting, the National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and National Organizer, Joshua Akamba were giving counter instructions as to whether their members should go out to vote or not," he revealed.

“All these indications clearly showed that Akamba and his Boss were never ready for the Ayawaso West Woguon by-election, so how can you pretend and behave as if the NPP was responsible for your defeat," he rhetorically asked.

He dismissed suggestions that he sent out macho men to physically man-handle the NDCs Deputy National Youth Organizer.

"It is untrue and a planned agenda orchestrated to tarnish my reputation," he stated.
