An aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Andy Owusu says former President John Dramani Mahama should prepare his sons for battle after inciting violence ahead of 2020 polls.
Mr Mahama has been severely criticized for asserting that the NDC will match the governing New Patriotic Party "boot-for-boot" with violence in the 2020 polls if the NPP attempts to intimidate and harass NDC supporters.
His comment has been described by Andy as “inappropriate” to have come from a former president.
“I find this statement inappropriate, unfortunate and an unguided outburst borne out of desperation, a very regrettable statement I least expected from a personality like an Ex President” he said in a statement to Peacefmonline.com
Read below full statement
Just recently, Mr. Mahama declared to some section of the NDC sympathizers that the NDC will in 2020 would 'match the NPP 'Boot for Boot' and further cautioned the NPP that, the NDC seems most violent and hence, nobody could beat them in unleashing violence.
I find this statement inappropriate, unfortunate and an unguided outburst borne out of desperation. A very regrettable statement I least expected from a personality like an Ex President.
Considering this from comment, I am very certain that during the heat of the 2020 elections, in Mr. Mahama's quest to make the NDC a frontier in unleashing violence, he may order some youth within the NDC to undertake this self-seeking mission of violence and lawlessness.
In this regard, I wish to make a few request to Mr. Mahama;
Firstly, we all know Mr. Mahama has sons who are equally youthful and as a matter of fact well built. So, in all humility, I ask of him to include his sons when the NDC is matching young men to face the NPP boot for boot as Mr. Mahama recently claimed. I expect to see if not all, at least two of his sons. I believe strongly that his sons could be good warriors for his quest to be victorious in unleashing violence and lawlessness and I do not expect him to look beyond his home when he needs warriors.
If he looks nowhere than his home, at least for the first time, the son of another man could stay back and watch the sons of Mr. Mahama battle the NPP to make the NDC the most violent party in Ghana.
We have all been against violence and lawlessness, but, if Ex President Mahama wants to continue in violence, I challenge him to put forward his sons.
But, if he can't put up his kids, I expect the young men who sympathises with the NDC to advice themselves when they are being matched to face the NPP boot for boot.
I also ask that as we become circumspect of how we may allow ourselves to be used for such self-seeking prospect by persons like Mr. Mahama if they would not allow their kids to join those lawless quest.
Violence is not the best way to do things as a civilised country.
Signed
Andy Owusu
NPP, Ashanti Region.

Well azoka boys should take this and think deeply about it if next time this INCOMPETENT ONE calls for them to face the DELTA FORCE of NPP boot for boot then azoka boys must know they are putting their lives online with mahama boy chilling in Dubai. Pleas Ghanaian youth don't be so sstupppid for the politicians to use you for their selfish gains. A word to a wise is enough
Were they in the Aagbe wo demonstration? I guess not. They were more likely engaged in shaku shaku dance with some girls in a club in Dubai, blowing NDC and NPP and every Ghanaian's monies John Cribo managed to abscond with. That is how the boot for boot works.
Just the 4threpublic alone we seen violence in Amenfi West, Akwatia, Atiwa, Kumawu, Tamale Central, Bawku, Agbogbloshie, Odododiodio, Asunafo, Asutifi, Cheriponi, Talense and now Ayawaso West Wuogon; what will be the next electoral violent battleground? People got hurt, disabled for life, died and traumatized but nobody was prosecuted. Who are they fooling? Nobody has monopoly over violence. It's about time all these violent political hooligans are outlawed. The IGP MUST be independent and given a constitutional protection similar to the Chief Justice (CJ) and not subject to the whim of the president of the day. The politicization of the National Security Agency must be stopped and agents and their leaders should be selected from our police force and made them accountable to the IGP. We can continue to allow a security agency to be funded by the state to be used as pawns by a private party of a ruling party. These political criminal hooligans used as National Security Agents from the winning party can not be impartial to bring peace in the Nation. They can only be used to settle old political violent scores. We can't allow this practice to continue if we want peace in Ghana.
As usual his children would be chilling in their comfort zones in Dubai and other comfortable places around the world while he's also surrendered by body guards to protect himself from any harm. It's sad for our "gullible" innocent vulnerable "boys" from the North, Zongo and Muslim communities; they would be used by NPP and NDC for these political electoral violent games. Where are the opposing voices and elders from these communities? Aside from the Chief Imam, there is hardly any voice coming out of these communities to advice these "boys" to refrain from being used by these morally bankrupt greedy politicians from NPP and NDC to take advantage of these "gullible" innocent vulnerable "boys" from those communities to advance their political careers and enrich themselves at the same time. Read the names of the victims and the perpetrators from both sides and you will understand the picture I'm trying to draw. Shame on NPP and NDC. Both parties are violent but they now know non of them have monopoly over violence because power can't stay in their hands forever.
Massa, pls re-listen to what pres. Mahama said. There is a clause,IF u don't stop intimidating and harass our people in the next election, we Will match u boot for boot in 2020. But if u say he should prepare his sons for the action, it means npp will still create violence. God save Ghana.
We don't need mahama's children to resist the oppressors rule. Atleast I was taught to sing since I was a child that 'God Should help us to resist oppressors rule'. Am ready to lead in resisting this super incompetenttttt oppressorrrr president.
There is a saying that kekrekekre no gyae a kukru no b3 gyae. if NPP stops its militants to disrupts voting nobody will match them boot for boot. why some Ghanaians hate to tell the truth. Bad things must condemned. Wontumi and his groups are too violent. they must be condemned by all well meaning Ghanaians
NPP! Do we all remember Akuffo Addo & NPP match over value added tax? Boot for boot or die be die whatever slogan ain't different. Politricks. Fix the OWARE roads, better running water across the Country, more toilet facilities etc & cease behaving like toddlers both political parties.
ITS SO SAD THAT IN GHANA WHILES SOME GENUINE PEOPLE WHO HAVE GHANA AT HEART AND ALWAYS THINKING OF THE ADVANCEMENT AND PROGRESS OF THE MOTHERLAND OTHERS HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER OTHER THAN ALWAYS THINKING OF VIOLENCE AND DESTRUCTION. THE BATTLE OF THE GOOD AND THE BAD.NO MATER WHAT WE ALL LEAVE IN GHANA.IF THE BAD WANTS TO DESTROY THE MOTHERLAND THE GOOD SHOULD LEAVE THEM ON THEIR VIOLENCE PRONE APPETITE AND WE ALL SHALL PAY A HEAVY PRICE.TIME WILL TELL.
ah andy, you too f.o.ol like that?.are delta force and invincible forces akufo addo children ?. the guys wontumi is using in kumasi, are they his children?. is time the IGP etc well resourced use those equipments etc to fight if not, am not mahama son but i will lead the boot for boot
