The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery; National Security Minister, Albert Kan-Dapaah and Minister of State in charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong, appeared before the Emile Short Commission of Inquiry set to investigate the violence that marred the by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
All three witnesses, per various briefings they have had, gave their own version of what happened during the by-election which led to about 16 members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) sustaining various degree of injuries.
Assessing the testimonies of the three security heads, a security analyst, Adam Bonaa observed that the witnesses contradicted each other when they appeared before the Commission with their inconsistent accounts.
This, he says, is quite worrying.
Speaking in an interview on Citi Eyewitness News, he said: “ . . a lot of contradictions showed especially among the two National Security officials who appeared before the Commission . . . it tells me that one of their core mandate which has to do with coordination, they probably did not coordinate with each other; talk among themselves even before coming to give their testimonies."
According to him, it was clear that the two were exhibiting ‘each one for himself’ attitude since they all had different stories to tell.
"You did hear the Minister for National Security say the vehicle belonged to the police, meanwhile, from the word go, the police have come to say the 'vehicles don’t belong to us', and the Minister of Interior came to confirm the fact that the vehicles did not belong to the police. And so for me, the National Security Minister (Kan-Dapaah) and now we know Bryan Acheampong is supposed to be his deputy, they probably didn’t talk to each other....From what the Kan Dapaah said, Bryan doesn’t take instructions from him. How can this be if this person is supposed to be your deputy? Somehow, even if it is 10 percent he doesn’t take 10 percent of his instructions from the boss. It means that there is a serious problem especially when you are supposed to be in charge of national security,” he added.

You never see anything yet. The true character of the ***barred word*** called elephant will be reviewed soon. After which everyone will know that yes JJ Rawlings is a hero of true and we shall never have such type of president in our lives till thy kingdom come.
How on earth at all can you assess something that has just started and has a month to finish? in fact we need ho be careful about these latter day saints from the North, they are talking to machin Ghana, the noise are too much and you can't even understand their thinking but want to impose it on Ghanaians what is going on? the silent majority are harming this country! our country is being a joke of the century, I don't know why they want to be heard at all cost, today is Adongo, tomorrow Bonaa, Suhuyini, ABA Fuseini,Inusah Fuseini, Haruna Iddrisu, Raz Mubarak, Muntaka, Murtala, John mahama, Joyce Bawa, Anas Aremeyaw, etc just disturbing our ears! and unfortunately nobody takes them serious just making noise !
Peacefm, stop the propagating of fake news ! The deliberatons of the Emile Short's commission is accessible to the general public , so don't attempt to twist the statements of those invited to the commission to suit your political objectives. It is a shame to see an outfit the kind of Peacefm engaging in agbadza journalism !
Ghana poor journalism at peak where from the contradictions statement you are talking about we all listening and following the sittings very well journalist should stop report false information. All the ministers gave their responses and we do not see any contradictions only adomfm journalist that always see problems we are tired of that unprofessional journalists are adom fm starting from Mr known all so called Captain Smart, and his unprofessional group.
Aaaaba ! Mr Know all Adam Bonaa. Just on the very first day of sitting, you rush to make judgements and conclusions? May i know what Adam Bonaa's background is? Education and experience wise? I have previously sated my admiration for Mr Bonaa but I think he is fast becoming a too known all. Please take a chill. You are not the only one in Ghana with knowledge on security issues. The three sitting commission members plus the the secretary to the commission between them have combined experience and and intellectual knowledge that Adam Bonaa does not have. Let's leave them to do their work please. And to Joy Fm, your hesitant manner to produce news whether worthy or not, leads you to get people like Bonaa speaking without much thought.
Please allow the commission to do its work and stop the unneccessary judgement on the media landscape. It will not help anybody. We talk too much.
