Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, believes the largest opposition party is in serious crisis, and wants leading members of the party not to take things for granted.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ panel discussion segment, Allotey Jacobs stressed the party will not be at its position of preference should it decide to ignore the truth of suffering from a crisis.
“NDC is in crisis and I tell you the image of the party has been seriously dented,” Allotey Jacobs categorically told Lawyer Tweneboah Koduah.
He admitted that though Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo spoke in his leaked video as a typical politician addressing party activists, those words do not portray his actual character in person.
“ . . Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo spoke like a typical politician speaking in a purely political manner and not who I know him to be in person. Indeed the contents of this leaked tape are not palatable at all,” he said.
According to him, the contents of the meeting were supposed to be private and not for public consumption, therefore whoever made it public has really caused harm to Ofosu- Ampofo’s image and the NDC party in general.
