Former President John Mahama has reacted to a Joy News investigation that reveals the existence of a pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) militia group known as De-Eye.
De-Eye allegedly gives training to men and women and is headquartered at Osu Castle in Accra, which used to be the seat of government.
In a tweet, the former President wrote: "Watched a harrowing expose of how the Osu Castle, until 2013 the office of the President, now used as an Annex, has become the HQ & training camp of a private militia wing of the NPP & @NAkufoAddo. Clearly, this admin has produced enough paint to paint the whole nation black".

JM, EVERYONE IN GHANA KNOWS THAT THIS NANA "KRAMAN" AKUFO ADDO IS NOT READY TO GOVERN GHANA. HE DOES NOT HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO GOVERN A COUNTRY LIKE GHANA. HE ONLY HAS ISIS (ISLAMIC STATE OF IRAQ AND SYRIA) IDEAS AND THINKS HE MUST RULE BY THAT AND NOT GOVERN. THERE IS BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TO RULE AND TO GOVERN. TO RULE INVOLVES SOME AMOUNT OF USURPING YOUR POWER TO GOVERN BUT TO GOVERRN IT MUST BE BY RULE OF LAW WHICH NANA CANNOT DO.
Mahama you can gather the diplomats and show them videos and lecture them. Look how desperate you are. This is another sign of failure to come on 2020 general elections.
