"I am sorry; I will not do that again," says Mohammed Sulemana, to Sam George.
Sulemana was the National Security operative who slapped the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram constituency during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.
Sulemana made this apology when he appeared before the Justice Emile Short Commission of Inquiry, Friday.
According to him, he slapped Sam George because of some tribalistic comments he made. However, at the time he didn't know he was a Member of Parliament.
"My Lord, I was guilty. I regret what I did...I'm sorry and I will not do that again. When you offend somebody and ask for forgiveness and it comes from your heart then that person will forgive you" he said.
He further asked the "people of Ghana to forgive me and I ask the Almighty Allah to also forgive me".
