Former Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Murtala Mohammed says considering the bad management of the Economy under President Akufo-Addo in spite of their so-called big titles, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was absolutely right to have described the Danquah-Busia Tradition as “people with narrow intellectual and political horizons but always see themselves as the leading stars”.
According to him, he has seen a video of the Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Bawumia mentioning titles of professors and doctors in their government as solid team who are managing the economy, but there is nothing to show for it, making Kwame Nkrumah’s assertion of Danquah-Busia Tradition accurate.
“You have a government that is visionless and you have a government that will not hesitate to boast and praise themselves. I have seen a video where Dr. Bawumia indeed started mentioning titles, that we have professor this, we have Doctor this and these are the solid team who are managing the economy, and when I watched that video I said Dr. Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah was indeed absolutely right when he described the Busia-Danquah Tradition that they are people with narrow intellectual and political horizons but they always see themselves as the leading stars,” he slammed.
He stressed that the NPP at a point in time see themselves as people who have the brains and also were created by God to govern this country; thereby describing any other group who are given the opportunity by Ghanaians to govern as a result of accident.
“At any point in time, they have the brains, at any point in time, they were created by God to govern this country and that any other group or person who are given the opportunity by the Ghanaian people to govern does so as a result of fluke and clearly, with all these so-called big titles, for me I don’t think that our economy should be in the state in which we are, and that is why I premise my statement by saying that we have all seen the ship wrecking, at least its fragment...”
Contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s 'Alhaji and Alhaji' programme, Murtala Mohammed reminded Dr. Bawumia that it was wrong for him to have done politics with the exchange rate, knowing the country is hugely import dependant.
“If you do politics with the exchange rate in a country that is hugely import dependant then you have a problem. I think that quotations have been made about the statement that was made by Dr. Bawumia when he said that if the fundamentals of the economy are weak, the exchange rate will expose you,” he mocked.
Describing Dr. Bawumia’s series of economic lectures as “needless”, Murtala Mohammed wondered whether the Vice President is still in the country, demanding that he comes out to tell Ghanaians the current state of the economy.
“I’m wondering whether my senior brother is in this country and I am wondering what has happened to the needless lectures that he engaged in which was supported by Pastor Mensa Otabil . . . who provided the opportunity for him using his University to do politics . . . ” he jabbed.

Please nobody should blame Murtala but put all this ***barred word*** at the doorsteps of JJ Rawlings and the PNDC who encouraged arrogance, empty-headed people like Murtala to enter into politics in the first place and say such loose talks to Ghanaians. Murtala should focus on Rawlings legacy and leave NPP alone.

I spoke to Murtala this morning about his medication but he claims he probably needs re-assessment. He feels the medication is not working as required which is very dangerous, so the sister needs to book an appointment for him to be re-assessed. He certainly needs help.
You people hate the truth. You have that superiority complex you don't even realise and someone is drawing your attention to it what you can do is insult. You will remain in your darkness.
