Parliament, on Monday, observed a minute silence for 50 Muslims who were shot and killed in Christ Church city in New Zealand on 15 March 2019 by one Brenton Harrison Tarrant, an Australian citizen.
This follows a statement made by Hon Ben Abdullah Banda, MP for Banda and Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs of Parliament on the New Zealand attack.
Hon Ben Abdullah Banda noted that "radicalization, populism, xenophobia, extremism and terrorism are fast eating into the global fabric", hence the need for a "united effort" by all people worldwide "to fight the menace".
He also observed that global peace appears to be on the brink of collapse as no one seems safe and secure as a result of terrorism.
Sharing his thoughts on the subject, the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Hon Inusah Fuseini, said "any form of religious intolerance must not be tolerated" anywhere in the world.

PATHETIC TO SAY THE LEAST FOR THIS PARLIAMENT THAT HAS NO REGARD FOR ITS OWN PEOPLE. I THINK 2020 WILL SEE NEW ZEALANDERS COMMING TO VOTE THEM AGAIN TO PARLIAMENT. I THINK THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN GHANA'S ACCIDENTS COULD NOT TOUCH THE FEELINGS OF GHANA'S PARLIAMENTARIANS.
Jesus, am all for peace and fight against any form of oppression but yoh . Guys this is so irrelevant, I might think we looking to score political favours by doing this at your parliament. Really unfortunate, Ghanaian will never learn. A worse tragedy occurred on your home ground and nothing is being done. Hmmm' Ghana why!!!!!
You why our leaders are so dump a minutes silents to 50 people killed while around your nose you lost 90+ you care about it??????????? ***barred word*** MPs
And 90 Ghanaians died in accidents over the weekend and our elected honorables do not observe silence for the departed souls. 50 WHITE SOULS are more important that 90 BLACK SOULS
So what about the people who died in the Car accidents.
