The Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Peter Boamah Otokunor, has kicked against move by government to introduce Comprehensive Sexuality Education [CSE] in government schools.
He was emphatic that the move is an attempt by government to introduce and accept 'gayism and lesbianism' into the Ghanaian culture – something he said former late President John Evans Atta Mills and former President John Dramani Mahama had frowned upon.
Peter Otukonor who was speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ said his party will forever express their disapproval of the new Comprehensive Sexuality Education subject.
According to him, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo can introduce and impact such knowledge to his grandkids.
“He [President Nana Addo] should gather his grandchildren and teach them about homosexuality so it remains in his family,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye.
Beginning next year, pupils in all public schools, including 4-year-olds will be given Comprehensive Sexuality Education. Officials say the subject content would be age-appropriate and empower pupils with values that would protect them from sexual harassment.
But the programme has come under intense criticism receiving bashing from a section of the public including church leaders with many describing it as a deliberate attempt to introduce homosexuality to Ghana.

Give the President respect, Mr. Otukunnor
I am shocked at the utterances by these NDC Party leaders who I expected to know and rather educated the uneducated masses on such sensitive national issue but not they are ***barred word*** themselves. This confirms all that Bawumia keep saying that the NDC Leadership do not readYou can continue to disgrace yourselves and expose your IGNORANCE, forgetting that the whole world is seeing and reading your comments. A big SHAME
This is one of the NDC fruitless tactics of running down the free SHS. It will not wash, whether you like or yes the children are having s:ex, and the earlier we educate them about its implications the better, the 14 year old school girl Muntaka impregnated and later married was SHS student.
F00*ish talk. I didn't expect any meaningful and constructive talk from this id*0t anyway. What a shame we have such people being the face and spokesperson of an opposition party seeking the mandate of the electorates to come to power. The thought of these hollow characters coming into government or board members is SCARY!
