Head of Psychology at the University of Ghana, Professor Joseph Osafo has called on President Nana Addo to clarify his financial plans for the public sector.
Speaking on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', Prof. Joseph Osafo asked the government to effectively communicate the incentives it has for public sector workers.
He noted that the public sector workers have been badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, citing incidents where a lot of the workers have been laid off and some public sector businesses losing huge revenues.
He believed the budget allocation for the public sector workers should be clear and precise.
"What plan does the government have for public sector workers?" he asked.
He also advised the government to utilize the power of effective communication to and explain the 2021 budget statement read by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu at Parliament on Friday, March 12 to the understanding of the ordinary Ghanaian
"We need good communication on this budget; compassionate communication," he said.
