Atik Mohammed has rebuked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over his statement in response to the resignation letter by Hon. Cecilia Dapaah.
Hon. Cecilia Dapaah, on Saturday, July 22, announced her resignation as Sanitation Minister after a theft case involving her house helps.
Two of her house helps stole her 1 million dollars, 300,000 Euros and millions of cedis she had kept in her home.
The former Minister caused the arrest and prosecution of her house helps but she has received a backlash after the news broke out.
Accepting Cecilia Dapaah's resignation, President Akufo-Addo said; "It is with considerable regret that I accept your resignation and I applaud your loyalty to the image and standing of the Government. The work you undertook during your period in Government was excellent and productive, and I thank you for your wholehearted contribution and devotion to the progress of the Government and the Nation. "I am confident, like you, that, at the end of the day, your integrity and, whilst in office, will be fully established. I wish you the very best in all your endeavors."
But Atik has expressed utter disappointment in the President for expressing confidence Mrs. Cecilia Dapaah's integrity.
"Before the case could even start, already, there is a judgement and I think that is unacceptable," he stated while making his submissions on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".
