Dear Wiyaala,
I know I'm late, but our elders say any time a man wakes up is his morning. I should have done this a long time ago, but I'm not sure it's too late since you're still alive to read this.
My knowledge of music is limited. Technically, I don't know what constitutes good music; but, like beauty, when I hear or see good music, I recognise it.
I have followed your work silently over the years with enormous admiration and pride. This morning, I think I should let you know. The ambassadorial role you play for Ghana with your music is immense. The joy you bring to troubled and confused and cheerful hearts with your music cannot be quantified and rewarded enough.
I could not concentrate on anything else since I discovered your cover on Osibisa's "Woyaya" yesterday. On my way to work this morning, I played it over and over again and, each time I did, it was as if I was hearing it for the first time.
You have breathed new life into the legendary track. It has stirred my spirit and invigorated my imaginations about my personal life and my country Ghana.
Thank you, Wiyaala. I now understand why your music is not everywhere in drinking spots to night clubs etc.
Rolls Royce is scarcely seen on our streets.

Two wonderful gems from the North. The writer is as brilliant as the one he is writing about and it makes the story so beautiful. I don't know what you mean by unkempt but this "unkempt" talented and authentic musical gem has performed for royals and other important guests outside the shores of this country. Perhaps we are so used to the lewd, skimpily clad, vulgar, butt-shaking girls that have come to be the definition of modern musicians of African descent that we can't appreciate authentic music of African origin. It is not surprising that Wiyala the musician is actually bigger outside Ghana! The whites have a way of spotting real talents that we blacks just can't wrap our little minds around. She actually breathed life into the song that we have known and loved for so many years but her rendition of it gave me a new perspective and made me sit up to listen to the lyrics with undivided attention. This is real definition of genius: she commands your attention without needing your permission!
Wiyala is on her own tangent....Kudos girl...keep being yourself.
Great song. Well done Noella Wiyala
you can do make up and still look unkempt. it is not about make up. she needs a stylist who "knows whats up". if you know you know
Thank you Wiyaala for flying high the flag of Ghana. And Thank you Manasseh for reminding us what a gem Wiyaala is.
Being her natural self is what defines her and is getting her to where she is now. Her admired audience see her as an indigenous African performer. Bringing in those excessive make ups will dilute her and she will know longer appeal to her admired audience and target market.
woow, for the 1st time i actually hear clearly and understand the lyrics of this song.... always known ' we are going heavens know where we going , we wil get there'
Beautiful song by all standard.Love the lyrics and melody.Nice one Sister.
This lady is genius,,, OMG. I am sure Mama Africa, Hugh Masekela, Angelique Kidjo, Vuli Mahlasela, Manu Debango, etc would be proud listening to you... Original African girl, I am your fun... will meet you when you come to Prison Barracks at Cantonments.... All barracks children are proud of you
Ahweni3 pa nkasa! Beautiful rendition. Thanks Wiyala..
