The 2015 MUSIGA Brand Ball brought together the affluent in society to wine, dine, celebrate rich Ghanaian music and raise funds for the welfare of aging musicians who paved the way.
The event which took place inside the Banquet Hall of State House in Accra on Friday September 4 2015 was definitely a night to remember.
Highest of the guest list was first gentleman of the nation President John Dramani Mahama, his brother Ibrahim Mahama, Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare, Minister for Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts, Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong, a businessman Chief Executive Officer of Sarpong Ventures and Special Investment, past MUSIGA Presidents Alhaji Sidiku Buari and Diana Hopeson, current MUSIGA President Obour among others.
The MUSIGA Grand Ball honored three personalities on the night in recognition of their contributions to the development of the music industry in Ghana. The three personalities were Apostle Kojo Safo Kantanka, Dr Kwabena Duffuor and Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong. Each of them received the Music Industry Pillar Award.

The night filled with ‘Glitz and Glamour’ witnessed performances from celebrated veterans such as Obuoba J.A. Adofo, Bob Pinodo, Paapa Yankson, Rex Omar, Bessa Simons, and young artistes including, Gasmilla, Bisa K Dei, Becca and gospel musicians Gifty Osei, Celestine Donkor and Philipa Baafi.
MCs for the night were Comedian DKB, Anita Erskine supported by Mr. Samuel Atta Mensah (Samens) of Citi FM.
The MUSIGA Grand Ball is an annual fund-raising event in support of the union’s Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWeF) and the MUSIGA Academy. The MUSIGA Grand Ball 2015 was sponsored by Unibank, Star Assurance and Ideal Finance with support from the Office of the President.
