Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale has condemned fellow artists’ endorsements of presidential candidates ahead of the December 7 polls.
Recently, award winning Hip-life Group, Praye joined the tall list of celebrities endorsing presidential candidates.
The Two members of the group, known in showbiz as Praye Tintin and Praye Tieta endorsed New Patriotic Party's (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo to win this year’s election.
Mzbel has also endorsed the candidacy of President John Mahama to win the elections.
Others who have joined the fray to endorse Nana Akufo-Addo include Lucky Mensah, Wisa Greid, Dada KD, Kwabena Kwabena, Barima Sidney, Leo Mensah, Daddy Lumba, Nana Quame and Cwesi Oteng.
But speaking on Wednesday on Starr Chat, Shatta Wale said it was a crazy thing to do especially when a musician’s followers cut across the political divide.
“I don’t think it is worth it,” he said.
He added such demeanor does not preach peace stating that “I believe when you are a celebrity you are one type of person that people listen to, and when you take sides, it means you are trying to preach something against [what you stand for].”
