Award-winning actor Van Vicker was on Saturday, April 29 elected Vice President of the Ghana Actors Guild at polls at the Art Center in Accra.
His campaign, however, to get Abeiku Sagoe as his boss was dashed as the veteran actor was beaten at the presidency by veteran movie director Sam Fiscian.
Actress Kalsoum Sinare was elected as Welfare Officer, a position Mr Vicker wanted to go to Papa Nii. Van Vicker picks up the position of Vice President which was originally occupied by Vivian Achor, who was sacked for absenteeism. The newly elected officers have a one-year tenure.
