Beautiful Ghanaian screen diva, Jackie Appiah celebrated her birthday on Tuesday December 5, at the Eastern region of Ghana with her annual birthday donations.

Jackie who flew in from Dubai marked her special day with ageing women and widows at Odumase Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern region.

A grand durbar was organized by the local community to welcome and honour the actress and her entourage from Accra.

The colourful ceremony took place at Odumase Krobo, the Municipal capital, where she donated several items ranging from foodstuffs, assorted drinks, mineral water, mattresses, fabric etc.

“I am very delighted to be among you today. It is a little away from home, but the feeling is great especially among the most important section of our population, the aged. Sometimes we are so busy growing up forgetting the appalling experiences of loneliness, neglects, aging disorders and the most of all wrongful witchcraft allegations our mothers are confronted with. As I count with joy the many blessing that almighty God has showered on me, I made a pledge to transcend some of these blessings to the poor and needy, especially our aging mother who sometimes struggle to even have people to talk to”, Jackie stated in her speech.

The beneficiaries were drawn from over five Electoral areas in the Municipality.

Jackie Appiah had the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on Nene Sackite II, Konor of Manya Klo Traditional Area at his Royal Palace after the donation.

She also met with Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality who expressed his gratitude to the kind gesture, adding that he looks forward for a better relationship to help solve some of the problems in his Municipality with support from the Jackie Appiah Foundation.
