The seeming rivalry between comic actor/musician Lilwin and the One Corner hitmaker Patapaa will once again rear its head on Boxing Day.

The two are among a tall list of artistes billed to perform at the Kwahu Republic Music Festival dubbed Bliss on the Hills scheduled for Boxing Day at Kwahu Abetifi.

Lilwin and Patapaa first performed on the same stage at Stonebwoy’s Ashiaman to the World concert held recently at Ashiaman.

Showbiz spoke to the two artistes on their expectations for the festival and the supposed rivalry between them. First was Lilwin.

“I have played shows with Patapaa before so this won’t be the first time. We will do our individual thing to thrill our fans. Patapaa is not my enemy so I wonder why people have that impression about us.

“We all have our fans so they will come for us. If we don’t perform well, the fans won’t be happy so everyone will do their best for the fans. Infact, I intend to increase my fan base in Kwahu on that day,” he said.

On his part, Patapaa said he is expecting an encore of what happened in Ashiaman where Lilwin danced to his One Corner song, “We are cool so our fans should just expect spectacular performances from us. They already know what I am made off so they should come prepared, it will be soldier line, it will be fire line,” he said.

“I hear the people of Kwahu really dance to One Corner a lot so I would like to urge them to come in their numbers because it will be fireworks, more vim. I am going all out so everyone should watch out for me and expect nothing but the best,” he said.

Performing alongside Lilwin and Patapaa are Kofi Kinaata, Captain Planet, Kwaw Kese, Ebony, Barima Sidney and others.

The Boxing Day Jam will be preceded by the Older Timers Night on December 24 which will feature the likes of Amakye Dede, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Nana Kwame Ampadu among others.

There will also be the Gospel night on December 25 where the likes of Francis Amo, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, Piesie Esther, SP.Kofi Sarpong and others will perform.
Bliss on the Hills is being organised by Media Excel Productions.
