Actor John Dumelo is of the opinion marking Ghana’s Independence Day is unnecessary because there is “nothing to celebrate.”
“Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March?” reads part of the message posted by Dumelo on Twitter on the occasion of Ghana’s 61st Independence Day.

On 2nd thoughts there’s nothing to celebrate. Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March? Ghana without aid starts with us getting our priorities straight.

This ***barred word*** should not if talk, when you try to steal state car and try to change the car looks so he can take it and not even one but had one for his girl friend too, Did he tell john mahama that these cars can be sold and buy tables and chairs for the children he knew then that they don't have tables and chairs.
Mr Who, we never heard you say these words when your former boss. John Mahahma and your NDC were at the independence square each year between 2013-2016. Were the school children then using computers and sitting in air condition classroom? Be a serious person and offer constructive criticisms.
I know John comes from an above average home so you have the privilege of attending a good primary school in the city, but that is all that is known about you until fortune fell on your laps to be an actor. Please tell us more about your education background before you start condemning hustlers like us who are wished for even schools under trees to become what you couldn't become with all your privilege background. I know your all sisters back in Holy child, Cape Coast. If I were you, I will only thank my God and hide myself because you are not any special from Ahya Koo and LIL Win.
Such an ***barred word***. Look who is talking what have you also done for Ghana that your also want to be celebrated? Do forget that your Mahama just left office so when we were celebrating what were we celebrating about? You will always be exposed because what is in your heart is what you have said. ***barred word***
Didn't he Dumelo said Manama had done all the good work Ghanaians needed so if there's there's nothing to celebrate for isn't it obvious his NDC party didn't do anything but stole with two hands from the poor Ghanaian tax payers? Such a chicken head moron.
WOOOOW WHAT A JOHN........CAN'T YOU ATIMES SHUT YOUR MOUTH.THE TALKING IS TOO MUCH, ABI YOU WANT CHOP MP IN YOUR HOME TOWN.....WE DEY WATCH YOU
When you realize that school needs infrastructure we need money so sell the car and bring the money
Oh yes ! He’s a Ghanaian and has every right to express his views. However, “he who comes into equity, must come with clean hands”; as the saying goes. This alleged THíÉF, pontificating righteousness? I can’t think far! How come he never saw this when he was grabBing state cars left and right under the Chief THïÊf Mahama and to the extent of giving one to his girlfriend? This guy must be investigated and ASAP! So naUseatîng.
See this onaapo friend! You "stuffed" hundreds of thousands of school benches and chairs in 2 government V 8s, for your ***barred word*** self and girlfriend, why won't school children learn on their bellies? Anyway you have been insulted enough, so I won't insult you anymore. Fiafi ga
Did this baf o o n know that there were people lying on their stomachs to learn before he stole two state vehicles? The cost of those vehicles could provide table and chairs to a lot of class rooms. What a Hippo crate.
