CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has apologised to Dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Setekla popularly known as Stonebwoy and his management over the recent attack on the artiste and his team.
It was reported that Stonebwoy and some officials of his record label, Zylofon Music were engaged in a scuffle Saturday.
The officers, according to reports had gone to the premises of the Champs Bar in Accra where Stonebwoy was having a show to take back a car alleged to have been given to him by the company.
The Zylofon team led by Artiste and Repertoire Manager for Zylofon Music, Lawrence Nana Asiamah aka Bulldog approached Stonebwoy’s team and asked that the cars which were branded in Zylofon insignia were taken away.
The clash between the two teams, reports suggest led to the firing of gunshots.
Meanwhile, the “Dirty Enemies” singer has explained that he fired the gunshots to defend himself “of any gruesome attack that may have been launched on him”.
Many Ghanaians who have been following the misunderstanding between the artiste and his label are not happy at the turn of events.
While some have condemned Zylofon Media of being unprofessional in handling the current situation, others have also labelled the employees of the firm as incompetent and incriminating Stonebwoy due to the signing of Shatta Wale. But reacting to the issue, Nana Appiah Mensah described the incident as “unfortunate” and strongly condemned the perpetrators.
In a tweet he wrote, “I apologize to team @stonebwoyb and all well wishers for the unfortunate ill incident that occurred. The transport manager exercised a discretion characterized by reflex and over exuberance. An act I vehemently condemn and discourage from our society.”

Sack that Bull Dog guy now before he destroys your business.
U say one on social media but in private u do different. You are here apologising but your guys are sacking people from your studios. Verbally assaulting and threatening people for stating the facts. It makes one wonder who is in charge? Who calls the shot? It makes your apology insincere. You’re doing this just to save face; PR purposes. U claim to have the industry at heart but when u choose one artist over others and u give orders not to play Stonebwoy music on any of your platforms. U then unfollow him on social media. That was very juvenile. I’m not sure you’re ready for this industry. U just happen to have some loose money to throw about. You’ve Bought anyone who can be bought and have surrounded yourself with these people who aren’t capable lacks integrity and the requisite tools to manage your affairs. To hear ashis saying Kumi’s diss song was for pr purposes was just despicable. U have in your camp people who don’t believe in hardwork but rather ride on others to gain relevance. Where do u draw a line? U seem to want the fame and recognition more than caring for the artistes and clearly you’re paying millions of dollars for it. 3mer3 yendi na so wai. Mony3 steady paaaa
I really want to beg Nana Addo & Bawumia to introduce the annual filing of taxes in Ghana. Let it be mandatory for every Ghanaian to file his income taxes every year so at least we can get to know the source of all these monies that are being thrown around. And we are are not talking small change- millions of dollars. Today this guy is given $4million, tomorrow $3 million and a house, yesterday $2 million and a car. Where are all these monies coming from? Who in his right mind will be throwing all these millions of dollars and be paying the likes of bulldog to manage artists? Who even buys music these days? These same things happen in Mexico and the Latin Americas where you have companies fronting for businessmen who make money from questionable sources. We all support rich and hardworking Ghanaians but there is something not right about how this Zylofon people are throwing money about. Maybe it is just me...
I admire your level of maturity. This act of yours has earned you full respect from responsible adults like me. Though you had an ingrate acting all ' mighty', you conciled such ignorance by been a true leader. Apologising for you act of kindness, support and integrity. God richly bless you
All the guys surrounded this media house know nothing but they do claim to know. The CEO should find more qualified and educated people to run his business for him and sack the likes of Bulldog, Sammy Flex, Willie Roy and all those parasitic ***barred word*** people in his business
CEO turned into begging officer, that is what happens when you have no idea of certain business and wants to show off your money to gain fame and respect via that . . . So when do we expect apology for Kwame Agyemang Berko too?? This whole so called Zylofon thing is a total joke!
It’s not enough to sack your transport whatever. The real culprits are bulldog and willie roy who are a disgrace your brand. They need to go. They’re vile and thugs threatening people who dare disagree with them. Sammy baah isn’t any good. They’ve all run their cause. Cut them loose and save your little dignity left. It’s clear the zylofon novelty has worn off. Don’t be engulfed in just enjoying the hype however negative, and regroup. Get qualified people to run your business. We don’t hate u Nana Appiah, we are just stating facts and the obvious.
As for u, u are struggling and and instead of reasoning well, u are there throwing jabs, shades and being an eediotic sycophant? U now have a diss song for Stone right? Ok oooo we go see how well your career go go wai. Wait paaaa..... your kneeling and begging is just a prelude to......... When it’s done to you, u will know paa
stonebwoy do you know kumi guitars diss song to you was played on zylophone fm. okay my advice run ooo run
Ha ha ha ha ha Ebob)ba! I warned you guys earlier this Zylofon guy Mensah and the ''too known'' people around has no clue. The Mensah guy just has money and just doesn't know how to waste it and so he is using music to get show off his money. I am telling you once again, and all you artists on the label . . . your music career is going down the drain straight up. Coz you lot were doing so well before you got on the label . . .
