Ghanaian songstress, Deborah Vanessa Owusu Bonsu, known in showbiz as Sister Derby, has asked Ghanaians to be patient with President Nana Akufo-Addo and give him enough time to solve the country’s problems, since, according to her, he inherited a lot of mess from the previous administration.
According to the songstress, the president cannot solve all the country’s problems within a short period, as he came to meet those problems.
She told Ayeeko Ayeeko on Accra 100.5FM hosted by Nana Romeo on Wednesday, 21 March 2019 that:
“The truth is that you can’t expect the government to solve all the problems so soon, so, we have to give them [government] time. It’s not fair and also they came to meet issues, they are also humans like us, so, it is difficult. We just have to give them [government] time.”
“I am affected because recently we travelled to South Africa together, buying the dollar to go is a headache. I wanted to cry. It is very bad. I don’t know what’s happening. The cedi is in serious crisis."
"I read something on the internet that in the whole of Africa, the Ghana cedi is the weakest and this is not good for the Black Star of Africa, it’s sad,” she added.

I'm a strong member of the npp, but honestly, Akuffo Addo is messing up things. Economic hardship, security etc. He must go
Honestly, she is right. i am a die hard ndc member and i can confirm that we left behind a lot of mess. but they made Ghanaians believed they can fix our mess in a short time. so if they cant then they should get out of the place for us to come back and mess more.
Thats what you guys have been told, I really know they were lying about that the first time they said that, they keep saying saying saying and all is a lie, since they cannot carry the load.this people talked big when they were in opposition, as soon as they came to power they started saying this till now, BLAME GAME BLAME GAME NKOA...so tell me what happened to the educational system in Ghana which is the future backbone of the nation, what happened to the local banking system? what is going on in Tema harbor which is number the one gate for imported stuffs. they've created minor error and they are rather blaming the NDC
Ghana is moving in the right direction
Only people like Deborah can say this because she was sleeping when Akufo Addo was saying that he is in a hurry on the day they handed over power to him.
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC IS DOING WHAT HE CAN TO MAKE THE COUNTRY A BETTER PLACE FOR US. YOU CAN DO YOUR BIT BY KEEP THE COUNTRY CLEAN. DO YOU EXPECT THE PRESIDENT TO COME AND CLEAN YOUR BED ROOM AND YOUR SURROUNDINGS FOR YOU? AAA BA
She truly is Kubolor’s Sister!!! The President himself gave Ghanaians 18 months!! Now she wants more time for him!! Sanitation in Accra alone should tell you where the administration is headed!!!
