United Television has been crowned the “Best Television Station” in Ghana at the just ended Radio and Television Personality(RTP) Awards 2018.

Abeiku Santana, who is the host of UTV’s most trending program “Atuu”, also won “TV Entertainment Male Host of the Year (UTV). 

The station’s flagship breakfast show 'Adekye Nsroma' won “Television Morning Show of the Year”, whiles Despite Group won “Media Group of the Year” and CEO Special Group of Companies, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, received an honorary award for his contribution to the media landscape in Ghana.     

The 2018 edition of the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards came off at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday 6th October, 2018.

The topmost award of the night, the RTP Personality of the Year, went to Stacy Amoateng who also won the TV Female presenter of the year.

The event was organized by Big Event Ghana which saw hosts, journalists and celebrities grace the awards night.

Kidi, Kuami Eugene, Wendy Shay, Okomfour Kwadee and other entertained the audience with spectacular performances.
