Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah is pining for a reinstatement of his suspended Deputy, Pius Enam Hadzide.

The Sports Minister is hoping his deputy will be vindicated after the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo, suspended him for investigations to be held into the deportation of some Ghanaians who went to Australia to witness the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.

Sixty (60) Ghanaians who claimed to be journalists were arrested by Australian authorities and deported to Ghana for allegedly making attempts to enter Australia by false pretence in the 21st Commonwealth Games.

The Minister, speaking to Starr Sports, stated emphatically that he has "really missed him. I mean he is my very good friend and I hope that he is exonerated from all these troubles".

Fake Love?

Though Hon. Asiamah reveals he has a good relationship with his suspended Deputy, it appears his comment is only aesthetic as seasoned journalist Kweku Baako sought to expose the unfriendly rift between the Sports Minister and his deputy.

Kweku Baako, commenting on the suspension of Pius Enam Hadzide, disclosed on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, a couple of weeks ago, that the duo are at “loggerheads" and not on speak terms even before the infamous Australian incident.

He noted that there's been a major friction at the hierarchy of the Sports Ministry, hence describing the Ministry as a “disaster zone”.

Right at the Ministry, at the very top, there’s some little conflict. There’s some friction [at the] very top. Yes, I think they’ve been at loggerheads what is it that’s hidden in that Ministry? Maybe we need an overhaul; a total overhaul…It’s a disaster zone; this country, when it comes to Sports”, Mr. Baako stated.
