Antwi impressed on trials in SwedenGhanaian striker Yaw Antwi has snubbed a ‘disrespectful’ offer from Swedish side Helsingborg after impressing on a one-day trial. The 24-year-old is heading for Serbia on Tuesday for another deal set up by his agent. The Liberty Professionals forward scored twice in the side’s 4-0 win over Mjällby and set up another on Monday night.

With the Swedish transfer window closing on Tuesday night, Antwi was expected to seal the deal on Tuesday. But super agent Goran Milovanovic, who set up the deal, says the offer made to the Ghanaian striker is contemptuous. “I have decided that Antwi should leave Sweden immediately for another team I have lined up for him in Serbia,” Milovanovic told Ghanasoccernet.com.

“Sweden is a good place for Antwi to start his career but the offer made by the club is depressingly disrespectful. “I can’t discuss the details of the contract but I have to fight for my players and the deal there was not good enough. “We will find him a decent deal in Serbia as he looks forward to making a big move to some of the bigger leagues in Europe.” Antwi will arrive in Serbia on Tuesday night and is expected to join one of the top clubs in the country.
