Tanzania-based Ghanaian striker Kenneth Asamoah said he is being wooed by the East African country to represent them as a senior international.
The former Real Sportive player has been in top form for top flight side Young Africans.
His eight goals in 11 matches have made him the Tanzanian Premier Leagues top scorer at the half-way stage of the league.
Asamoah looks unenthused about the prospects of switching allegiance to play for the Taifa Stars.
ďż˝There has been something to that effect but every player wants to represent their country and so I will wait for as long as possible,ďż˝ Asamoah said on TV3′s Talk Sports Programme.
I have had to answer a lot of questions about why Tanzania but in football you have to take opportunities when they come.
This is a sport that allows you to discover new places and learn new things so when the opportunity came I decided to take it.
If I play well then I will get my chance elsewhere but at the moment I am enjoying my football there.
